With practice, you can use both triggers and make 90+% of your serves. Probably close to 100% if you don't really go for the lines.

What Alex said was really helpful, usually I would always push the stick diagonally but just now I'm beginning to push it fully to the right or left and it's really helpful, my serve MIGHT actually become a weapon of mine. Sadly all I can do with the stick is flat serving though, all my kick's and slices are with the buttons. But what I do know is the height of you'r character makes a HUGE difference to the angle and trajectory of you'r serves, a player with a 6'9 character gets a much more acute angle on serves.

how the hell do u get slices or even kick serves with the stick? All i can do with the stick are flat serves. Sometimes by accident i get slices but i have no idea how i got it so im stuck with slicing and kicking with the buttons. Any tips? i hear u are supposed to do some wierd clock wise motion but it never works when i try it.

Know what you mean. I can do the kick serve with the stick well using the anti- clockwise half circle motion, but for some reason I mess up 80% of stick slicing. Theres something about rotating the analog clockwise that my thumb refuses to do correctly :x

I've finally figured out how to do it. You don't have to do the whole clockwise-anti-clockwise motion. Just move from down-left to down-right for kick and move from down-right to down-left for slice. It works for me.

i spin the stick as hard as i can LOL. u know if u spin the stick harder u get a efin nasty kick serve and the slice serve will actually curve a ton more its ridiculous. this one guy names stoichkov92160 would do nothing but stick serving and would hit this short kick serve and with that nasty spin its really hard to return and the same with slice he would hit the lines ALL THE TIME.

I think i got it now. My spinner is still pretty weak i dno why but the kick is nasty man. Crazy ass high bounce. still think its pretty hard to hit those stick serves , first serve procentage dropps like hell.

Once you learn the kick serve with the stick, go try it against the CPU with the update removed. Hold LT when you do it, and not only will it kick really high, but it also curves sideways, the opposite direction that a slice curves.

If they had not patched that, we'd see a LOT more tiebreaks.
