tonedawg def brgerflipr 5-7, 6-4, 6-2, 7-6

Nothing really to report. It was a short, boring match. 100% risk returns, lottery tennis. On my serve, he either hit a risk return winner or an error, so my service games were quick. His service games, w/ his 90 serve, I couldn't break him. No rallies at all, match completed in 45 mins. Should've just given him the WO if I knew the match was gonna be like this.

Good luck w/ the rest of the tournament Tone.

I have too much respect for the other members to hijack the Aussie Open thread and argue. Like I said I was just giving my impression, you won fair and square and deserved to move on. I won't waste anymore forum space on it. You can PM if you want.

in 90-40 you play a video game, in sim you can play tennis, at least you can try it.

Not much to report other then Mack was off today. He is my friend and rival since Xbox and we always have tight matches and great rallies. This was not one of these matches. We still played out a few fantastic points, games....but for the most part I felt completely in control on my serve and on his serve. Ended up 4/10 BP to non from Mack. 55 winners to 15.

I am glad thou to see Mack back and competing. Look for him to sort out his serve and then start wining, a lot. He was and is one of the best retrievers and generally plays a very smart well anticipated and calculated match.

oh God..just 15 winners in 3 sets?!lol  You had a lot to do with that though as I found it almost impossible to get the ball past you. I haven't quite grasped the timing for risk shots on ps3 yet but hopefully I will figure it out soon. Anyway, very well played from you. Your level just kept increasing from one set to the next so it was hard for me to try and settle into the match. Good luck for the rest of the tournament 8)

I think we got spoiled by SIM a bit.

I now feel a bit guilty playing 40-90

....it just seems weird. :?

tonedawg1 - try to concentrate on placement on your returns, rather then power.....you will put yourself in a dominating position in a rally. So you will have rallies and still win the points, but it will be less boring.

i know how you feel brgerflip, i got clipped by Nitoflament 3-6, 4-6, 6-7

1st set and 2nd were very similar, nitoflament had the upper hand by breaking me early, so one break each set and then the 3rd set i got somehow some confidence and i figured out how nitoflament plays!( after 3 official losses to him). Also i would like to mention that we had some great rallies.

Anyway 3rd set then i had the upper hand by putting pressure to his serve and having break point chances(5 i think) which i didn't convert. Then late on the 3rd set it became a lottery , nito started to risk return, risk short slice return(obsiously he was afraid of losing his control) and then the tie breaker was lottery as excepted from both of us.

I don't want to diminish nitoflament though because we all know that he is a great player, but sometimes i feel like he wants to win no matter what.

Anyway good luck for the tourney nito.
