Tournaments starting early?

Postby Mack2300 » Sun, 17 Jan 2010 22:11

May I ask why is this? I was just about to sign up for the sim Australian Open(xbox) and the womens Australian Open(xbox), both tournaments where I fancied my chances but I find the draws are already out and so I can't play these tournaments. This doesn't seem very fair to me. ITST deals in CET time right so that means it is not yet the 18th, when the tounaments are actually scheduled to begin.I'm disappointed to be missing out on two slams, in particular the ws aus open where I would be the #3 seed.

maybe it´s because at the WS tournament there were 32 players in the Entreelist... and sign up was closed... ?
the SIM tournament had 3 free places...

well, you know, that´s the reason why i sign up as early as possible

Straight from the rules page:

2.) The draw for a tournament is normally made on Sunday evening, or maybe earlier when the tournament has been filled completely.

This is especially true of Grand Slams, since they are in signup for two weeks.

It's happened to me a few times - I'm not sure if I want to play, I wait until the last minute, and it's too late.

Oh ok. I didn't see that. I should have read the rules. Sorry  I signed up for the ps3 slams quite early but in doing so I forgot to sign up for the xbox tournaments :(

My next question was going to be:

Why did you wait so long? :?
