Josenylund wrote:lost another one to djarvik this time 7-6 6-2 with me as gray and i think he was bucci.
first set was really close. rally on almost every single point. Had maybe 7 breakpoints , the ball was in play on every single one of them but he saved them all with some insane jawdropping shots.
In the TB i went up a mini break twice but he still managed to win the breaker again after some really intence rallies.

In the second set my gray was drained on stamina. Thought my gray would get a heartattack after running around like mad after his shots.
He got a break midmay in the set and went up 5-2. He had 3 match points at 0-40 on my serve on 5-2 but i got it to deuce with some effective serving. He however got the advantage at deuce and got the match.

I'll get u next time!

One of the most annoying things about djarvic

Hey Jose - was bucci's stamina in the 2nd set the difference? or did DJ just step his game up? I'm also pretty shocked that w/ ur 90 ret, you couldn't secure a break. DJ must've served pretty huge.

Good win DJ.

Smart choice to use bucci by dj, jose runs and makes his opponent run alot.

They are probably gonna face off in R16 of medibank again too

return wasn't the problem i had plenty of looks on his serve , just that i could not finnish some rallies of when i had the advantage. I would spray dubble triggers all over the place but he got everything back and sometimes even fired winners from defensive position which made me cream my pants.

Oh and the stamina really helped him in the second i thought.

Thanks guys. It was a very intense match. Josenylund is a very accomplished player with no real weaknesses, there was no safe play I could go to against him. I decided to use Bucci, no other reason then to try him out. I did try Rogers and Thompson and House. My two favorites are Bucci and Rogers. I think that extra stamina gives me an edge come second, third set. I also think that even thou Bucci and Rogers have 90 stamina, Rogers can definitely last longer. Somehow the more power you have the quicker your stamina drains.

I went into the match not expecting much really. I am heavily medicated and not feeling my best. But I got into it and for a second forgot that I am sick :P

Josenylund, I am sure you will get me next time.....there is not much separates us in all of our matches....just a few points here and there.

Alex (house) def marlonbrando (cannon) 7-5 7-6(3)

1st set:

We have a reaaaally long opening game on his serve, I failed to take my chances. We have played each other alot recently so he now anticipates my shots and reads me well, so it was really tough. I managed to break with agressive returning at 5-5. We both had many break points.

2nd set: Opening game i storm to 0-30, but he played these next points well and my returns were not enough. then at 3-2 he breaks me without giving me even one point
He held for till 5-3, where i broke. Had more chances to break at 5-5 but couldn't.
TB: we exchanged minibreaks, but then i managed to take the lead and win it. Great player, much potential :)

Just got beat by Bashy in the brisbane semi's, 7-5,6-3. A Break in each set was enough. 80-90% serves out wide and pretty damn impressive put away shots from bashy. To be fair i had a 'couple' of chances in that match but it just wasn't to be and he was the more solid player, looks like i've drawn him or coke4 in the latest tourny so could be a chance to make up for it.
