MICROSOFT IS CHEATING !!

Postby GOA MASTER MDMA » Fri, 08 Jan 2010 18:29

some ridicolous stuff....... .

i buyed me today a new 120 GB hard drive for my brand new xbox360 .

i was more as surprised as i saw at home that i have only place for 105GB !! on a 120 GB HDD!!!!
i called directly microsoft and they explain me that this is normal coz they PRE-installed programms (15GB???)
they say i need this programms ,that the xbox360 works .
the xbox need this programms to play the xbox in a good way .
but 15 GB ?????
that is a bad joke and a lie too .
the xbox works perfect without the HDD !!!!
and 15 GB is way to big for normal programms!!
i tested that with my memo card -MY x-box works fine without the 15gb on my HDD
so i need not this programms !!
my xbox weorks fine without this mysterious 15GB programm !!!

anybody have a experience how i can delete the pre installed programms to use my fulll120gb HDD space ??

that is high grade cheating from microsoft .

i payed for 120GB and not for 105 GB free space !!

i´m very agressive at moment to this f****** microst behavior.

maybe someone can explain me how i delete this programms, .

I just bought a new 360 Elite (the black xbox is sweeet! :) ), and it had all kind of crap pre-installed. Demos, themes etc.
I did a harddrive format and got rid of all the junk. There's an option for it under "storage devices".

Sorry to hear about your problem Matthias...anyways I think ati4850 is right.

I plan on getting a 60 GB hard drive soon...I still have the original 20 GB from when I got my 360 in 2004

The hdd you bought has a 120GB laptop drive inside. They aren't cheating you.

I have a 120GB drive in mine - I know for a fact that it is 120GB because I installed it myself - and mine also said 105GB when I was finished.

I'm not sure exactly why they only end up with 105, and I'm not sure the guy at Microsoft really knew either. I know the drive has 3 partitions, and maybe has something to do with with the file system used. Someone who knows pc stuff better can probably explain it.

Also keep in mind that what it shows you may not be entirely accurate. Just because it says you have 105GB, doesn't mean you really have 105GB.

Yea Rob. Good point. Isn't this true with PCs too? I put a 320 GB in my older laptop. It says that I have 305 GB. It is like the technology is not clocked to read the "20" part of a gigabyte hard drive right?!

I should not worry right? It also read 174 GB in the bios but 305 GB in the Windows reinstallation screen.

Yea. I studied statistics, and companies seem to blame this on "standard deviation." Of course, they want to pay attention to this matter when it involves money . . . oh and . . . ripping of customers.

Just get your drinks yourself at BJ's Wholesale Club or something.

Yep...I don't why that still surprises me, but like my dad always says after my surprised reaction, "remember, they're sold by weight, not by volume."
