Same here !!
But i go crazy when my opponent is just better at it

This shot cannot definately be banned. It would be ridiculous but we all know IT IS THE ultimate weapon.
The best players use it always at the right time and get the point....always

That is what makes them the best! 8) ...does it? :?

BTW - I never use short slices and I never really have trouble passing people at the net. Rob and Zizou can attest to that. There are plenty of ways to pass....resorting to short slice pass still makes it cheap for me, a "lazy mans pass".

I don't think we can ban the shot as there is simply no way to tell for sure when it is executed.

As long as it is deemed by the community as "dirty" I am cool with that. Just lets not make excuses, short slice users use it not because it is a realistic Federesque shot, but only because it yields great results, only because it is over-effective and reward is much greater then the risk.

Want to have a better match record? ....learn short risk slice.

I dont think using it to pass is cheap. you are trying to keep the ball low at the net, and thats what it does. It has no cheapness if the person is at the net as the person would not have to run to get it. Plus its always a good mix up from down the line or crosscourt

Every slice that timed right is low over the net. Risk slice just flies with unreal speed and penetration and weight(?). Forehand short risk slice is not a "passing shot". Once again, you defend it because it is effective. Did you try Lobs? ....drop shots? Slow high tops spins? Going for the body? ....possibilities for passing shots are endless.....yet you choose the most effective, short risk slice.

I haven't seen Rob, Emate, Moralspain, Anil, Xorum, Swifty, Anteros abuse short risk slices. Come to think of it, I don't remember them using it at all. I think they are all decent and fair players. Of course there are many more...these are a few that came to mind.

You know what, forget it. I am done. Risk slice is the best shot in the game, the most realistic the most effective and everyone should use. Great for passing shots, great for drop shots, great after serve....just great!

Goodbye.

i do use those shots, like i said i like to mix it up when a person is at the net. that is another way of giving the net man a different look. I agree with the fact that it is cheap when the person is at the baseline, and when a person does it after the serve then its the worst cheese!

so you want to ban the shot for all play?

Hello, I think that if the SIM tour claims to be real tennis and to differ from the regular tour , stop using R2 and L2, the matches would be very much real, risk slice are so unreal as the winning returnings to services 215 km/h again and again, in my opinion just now there is no difference between the two tour, but it´s my opinnion.

Well I don't care if anybody approves of those things. The mutant thing I don't give half a **** about. The sniping Djokovic thing is just a personal vendetta and you'd be well-advised to steer clear, lest you be caught up in my absolutely murderous rage.

Lol i have to agree with this comment , it seems to be flavor of the month ( or last 2 or 3 months ) to basically bash anyone for playing in a way that they enjoy i.e by referring to them in certain ways, a few people on this forum actually need to take a little reality check and do a bit of growing up and realise its a computer game

people want to ban anything they have problems with.

Sorry guys tennis is about tactics , do you guys know how many times I have goten points , even games out of framing a ball in real life and it sends a super high moonball with loads of spin that usally results in an error or a week reply (unless the guy is really good then I pay for it) short slices are very common in tennis and get you a lot of "free" points , damn some people in real tennis in high level (4.0 4.5) this is all they do !

So stop calling stuff you can't deal with unrealistic and learn to read the shot and put it away .

I couldn't agree more with venom. The losers feel good club above has identified that they have yet another problem with the way the game is designed but moaning about it in the forum isn't gonna help. Read it, become better and yeah, just kill it!

All this "ooohh i don't like his hair, ooooh the lag is sooo much, ooooh he can't hit that its fake, ooohh he's really chubby, his weight must be the secret to his success" seriously grow up.

Let me tell you something: I play players (even in the top 10) that step on or over the line while returning, I play players who purposely download crap to screw up my return timing via lag, I play quitters, I play cheesers, but I never ever take that away from them if they beat me. You gotta deal with all that crap, its part of competing.
