La Liga (Spain)
El Calcio (Italy)
Premier League (England)
Bundesliga (Germany)
La Ligue (France)
.
.
.

The best teams of each league ( country) play the Champions League.

The UEFA Champions League (usually referred to as simply the Champions League or historically as the European Cup) is an annual association football cup competition organised by UEFA since 1955 for the top football clubs in Europe. It is the most prestigious club trophy in European football, and is widely considered the most prestigious club trophy in the world.

Current champion : Barcelona (Spain)
Most successful club: Real Madrid (Spain): 9 titles

You´ve got to support Real Madrid, the best team in the world

Those "Champion League" matches are played on tuesday and wednesday (every 2 weeks) at 8:45 pm CET.

Yeah the Premier League, one of the most fun leagues to watcth on TV.
Most of the European leagues end in june, may, and the the 2 best teams are directly classified to play the Champions League, the 3rd and 4th should play a match against other 3rd and 4th teams to see which one will finally play the Chamions League.
A bit confusing?

They're a great team. Problem is they've recently been handed a ban which prohibits them from dealing in the transfer market and so they can't buy any players until 2011!
They're currently appealing this ruling, but it doesn't look too good for them at the moment.

BTW, if you get to watch any games involving Chelsea, be sure to keep an eye on Joe Cole. He's only just now returned from injury, but when this guy get's fully match-fit he's as skilful and talented as they come.

And Drogba...This guy is a beast! (he's a forward-a goal scorer)
But i would say that Messi (Barcelona),Ribery (Bayern Munchen),Cristiano Ronaldo (Madrid),Gerrard (Liverpool),Kaka (Madrid),and co are the most entertaining to watch...(my opinion)

Gerrard and Torres Suck Benitez' ass

But they are waay amazing players.

Xavi, THe countries get a number of teams in the league by the 5 year assessment do they not?

England have 4 in the Champions League, 1 has to qualify to get to the group stage.

And xavi, when was the last time Real Madrid got past R16?

And who beat you 5-0 on aggregate last year?

This is what i got from the internet:

The number of teams that each association enters into the UEFA Champions League is based upon the UEFA coefficients of the member associations. These coefficients are generated by the results of clubs representing each association during the previous five Champions League and UEFA Cup seasons. The higher an association's coefficient, the more teams which represent the association in the Champions League and the fewer qualification rounds that the association's teams must compete in.

The number of places in the competition is currently allocated as so:

associations ranked 1 to 3 have four positions, (England, Spain and Italy)
associations ranked 4 to 6 have three positions,
associations ranked 7 to 15 have two positions,
associations ranked 16 or lower have one position.

This year the final will be played in the Santiago Bernabeu, and you can be sure that we will be there playing the final against Bayern Munich. ( My prediction :D ). Torres is playing really well lately but i don´t think they can go too far this year, sorry :D :D , i would like to play against Liverpool in the final though, because i would be glad to see Fernando fighting for such a big title.

Liverpool to win number 6 this season :) :)

We will beat Stuttgart 3-1(aggregate) in R16, beat chelsea 4-3(aggregate) in QF, beat Barcelona 4-4(5-4 n pens ;)) and then beat Real Madrid 2-1 after going down 1-0 with 20 mins left
