but there is a difference in serve with 100-100 .

It doesn't matter what animation you use, or how tall or fat your character is. 100/100 serve and power has the same max speed.

Maybe you could push it to 151-2? :) I remember in TS2, Roddick's max serve was 146, but one time (and I think it was only once), I hit a 147 mph serve.

just lost to thecooler in a horrible ragged match lol. underneath all the lag i think there was great match potentially, but i think we both struggled to get rhythm. some good rallies though fun match.

Played DarkPaladin87 using TS3 pros. Great match. I used Haas, he used Ancic. We both reported this on the exhibition thread, but thought I'd share the stats on this thread as well.

Score was 3 - 6, 7 - 5, 7 - 6(5) to DarkPaladin87 (Ancic)

Real fun game. IMO it had pretty much everything, like how the game was meant to be played. Contrasting styles, change of styles, significant stamina effects, risk etc.

Ok the exhibition is finished. I beat copa in the final 7-6, 6-4. :D

These are pretty good rules and i like the idea. But i have one suggestion that i hope you all take serioulsy. Please do not allow pros to be used, especially the ones that are higher than 70 overall. I feel like if u use a created player and then he uses pro higher than 70, then you already have an advantage.

But i do like the idea, hope a tour gets started

I have got on board with this.

I have just created Sergi Bruguera (Spanish French open winner 1993, 1994).

FH 65
BH 75
Serve 85
Return 60
Volley 70
Power 85
Speed 70
Stamina 50

Any idea when the next tournament will be?
They call me Baggy...

I agree with that.

The pro players above 70 XP should not be allowed to be used.

The thing is that I would love to play a lefty single hander.

Another thing is if I were to use a player with the same setup as one of the Pro players. I would not be allowed . But if I would use the Pro player itself it would be ok.

For example take Blake.

Blake

82
67
72
64
56
85
70
72

if I want this setup on a own player I would have to take 5 XP of volley and 2 of serve to make him 70 XP.

But according to the SIM rule I will not be allowed to use him. Though he is the same as the Pro player Blake.

That's a bit wierd isn't it?

i stated this a long time ago....but djarvik and Rob said that it all evens out...the pro players have their weaknesses too....but, i did not agree...i totally agree with using created players only....its a bit unfair to use a pro off the game...because none of them match the stat requirements.

I agree with you now. I thought they were even, but some pros are just simply better. But, that's why we test these ideas.

Yeah, it's unfortunate that it works out that way. If someone can come up with a rule that allows the pros stats, still has limits similar to what we came up with, and is easy to check, please let me know. We could say, "any player with the same stats as a pro is allowed" but that's kind of hard to check when you're getting ready to play a match.

I think allowing pros with level 70 or lower would be OK, but not Federer, Roddick, Borg, etc.

why cant we just make it sim minus the pro part? or are we still trialing it to get an idea about the situation?

Nothing is set in stone. I think the limits we used are the best we can get though. The question now is whether any pros should be allowed. I think they should, since it allows some setups that are not allowed with the rules, but still are much better than 4 90's, and are evenly matched with the created players. But I believe now that pros over level 70 is too much.
