JoeSixtoe just schooled my 6-0 6-1.

I really like the SIM tour because of the different player types. Some people will maybe ask me: "How can you beat Picachu and lose 0-6 1-6 agaisnt joesixtoe?"

The answere is simple: I am sure both of them are better player as me. But there was an important difference:

Against Pic, i played with Monfils, who is very similar to Murray (both very quick but not with the best power):
Joesixtoe played with a 90 (i can t remember exactly, but i think his power was 90, maybe 85) power Agassi, and i chosed Monfils again. It was a mistake. A hard hitter like Agassi can demolish a "weak" hitter like Monfils (72 is not bad, but also not very good).

So next time if i should met Joe, i ll better use also a hard hitter.

This makes the SIM tournament so unique. You should create a player which fit in to your opponent.

1 time on SIM.

Don t understand me wrong. I wrote above they both are better than me (Pic just hit to many unforced errors, otherwise he had won). I just want explain how important it is on SIM to find a player who fit in with the opponent.

Norberto H wrote:Risking is slightly harder with this setup, I don't think it is mostly because of the lower fore/backhand stats, but more because of the backhand - forehand difference - I was not "brave" enough, to risk as much as I do usually, which was a big mistake against such a good simmer as Coolhand.

I think when your opponent has different fh/bh it makes risk more difficult too. The balls are coming at different pace/depth/spin and it's harder to find a rhythm.

We played a nice SIM match, I think I won with 6.4 6.1 :?

It was fun, I liked the change of pace, volleys and the overall pace of the match. Solid.

you have taken a break for quite a bit? i didnt know what to do about your s/v skills...they are purely awesome....i thought you were gonna take me down that second set when you broke me....but, i got like 4 lucky returns in a row when you came to volley and i broke back...i noticed you didnt do your slice approach down the line as much during the rallies....thats the one that gets me the most....the slice approach down the line to my forehand--because you have to risk to get it past you

Yeah, I've been playing Grand Slam tennis more recently, but that's much harder to play while drinking...
I'm really surprised more people don't use that slice approach down the line. It's really easy to pull off and super effective against almost everyone. That is, if you don't mind being at the net.
