For me personally, it is easier to return a powerful serve then a well placed slow serve. 2 factors: Behind the line returns is a great rule, but it prevents us from attacking the slow serve...making slow serving effective weapon. Most of us use low returns. Use 80-90 return and with the right timing and moderate amount of risk you will own your opponents 90 serve. Alla Swifty, Norberto, Retos.

a lot of people hide behind high serve stats....i think a slow well placed return is equivalent to a slow well placed serve...but, i have to say moralspain and rob are both great risk crosscourt short returners...they do it pretty much every time and make it with even 50 on return

A strongly disagree about "Hiding" behind the 90 serve point. Yes, some players (sorry Mack ) use 90 serve, because they can't place the ball well consistently enough on the lines, so they make it up by more MPH. But they give up points in other areas.

We might just as well say that some people hide behind 90 strokes, 90 power and 90 return, 90 speed and 90 volley.

Fore example, when we played, you had plenty of break points on my 90 serve. As I did on your 65 (?).

Yes, I had more aces....but that is because of a stronger serve. Logical.

Now, you had 85 FH/BH....to my 75/80. So I can just as well say that you like rallies because of your FH/BH. But I don't. You also have 70 stamina, yet you choose to finish points early (I think I mentioned that to you once)

Every player has weakness and strengths. You got to play to them.

I think you will benefit from a higher return skill and lower stamina.
Try 75-80 return and 50 stamina. You serve very well with 65, and you like to keep the points short.

yeah....75-80 on strokes and say 80 on return? what about power? probably higher power since my strokes would be lower. i try and end the points quickly because every one does.....more than 66% (2/3) of people on ITST try and end the point on the return because they dont want to get in a rally...ohh and i never have more than 60srv....all though i created a federer-esque guy with 70 serve---but i could do the same with 60 or even 55....55 on serve is when you can use the stick and start hearing the pop off your raquet....and power is a little deceiving in the game to me now....i like a power stat of 84 and below i notice i have more finesse and my cross court shots are better placed than 90 power--90 power is meant for hitting down the lines.

is there a pro on the game with less than 70 on stamina? and djarvik i wasnt saying you hide behind your 90 serve....all though i usually out last you in the rallies...ure serve is very solid and u dont get broken often....my top 5 favorite players to play are

1. emate007
2. djarvik
3. jacaqest
4. coolhand
5. rob

these arent in any order--these are just my favorite players to play against....most other people i play risk return EVERY SINGLE TIME!! and its purely boring---but, i have to say coolhand use to not risk return as much and i cant bash rob for risk returning a lot..because he makes all of them for the most part...its just when someone misses a risk return 8 times in a row and keeps risk returning...

Exactly my observations! Somehow less power works.

What about:

FH-80 | BH-75 | SER-60 | RET-90 | VOL-40 | POW-90 | SPE-75 | STA-50

or

FH-80 | BH-75 | SER-60 | RET-90 | VOL-40 | POW-85 | SPE-80 | STA-50

Whatever happens, there's no way you guys would eradicate the normal 90-40 tour right? At the minimum there should be 2 tours. I do have the new players to accomodate the new style anyways but i'm just wondering.....

This is just a tryout tourney. If the tour were to start, it would definitely start separate from current 40-90 tour. There seems to be demand for both tours.

I was able to finish the last set with Norberto, and i took it, 7-6. I had 1 break point chance but missed a slice.

We had some great rallies. Norberto may not be known for his defense, but he played some great defense and turned it most of the time into offense.

I still prefer the 90-40 tour to the SIM (tour), but I have to admit, that this was a very fun match. Compared to our usual matches, this match was exactly the other way round - me defending, Coolhand attacking.

Risking is slightly harder with this setup, I don't think it is mostly because of the lower fore/backhand stats, but more because of the backhand - forehand difference - I was not "brave" enough, to risk as much as I do usually, which was a big mistake against such a good simmer as Coolhand.

Very good and fun match though, thanks for finishing!

you see more errors by risking with 70 as with 90 vh bh stat?
or is it only a thing of "braveness" in your game ?
