I used my new character Ferrero, and he tried for the first time ( i think)his Dudi Sela.
Good fun, i don´t mind losing when i play a match like that. Thanks mate

Thanks! Yes, you were the first I played with my Dudi Sela. Great match!
Worth mentioning:

Dudi Sela
FH: 79
BH: 73
SER: 79
RET: 55
VOL: 40
POW: 79
SPEED: 90
STA: 65

This player is no match fro 90/90/90/90 setup, but when playing realistic or close to realistic setups, I feel very confident playing him.

Had a match with samL64, after a short break due to baseball. I won 7-6, 6-3. It was a close match through the first set, and i took an early minibreak in the tiebreak to keep the lead. The second i took a break the first game and then broke again to take the match.

My first serve i was having trouble with and converting on break point was another thing. I finall y made the most of my oppurtinities in the second. Sam did not see a break point the whole game.

Sam has improved with his risk and is developing a vey nice slice. I would not like to draw him in a first round.

Thanks for the match Sam :D

was browsing randomly ith my SV character and played bralexxx. I lost 2-6 4-6, but should have took the second never took my break points, then missed a couple of easy volleys and got broke. Enjoyable match though plenty of good rallys.

You are a good player hamburgerboy. I dont think there is manyt people as consistent as you form the baseline in ITST, but haha dont rub it it you beat my serve and volley player before 3-6 3-6 if i remember correctly :P
In all honesty though you are well hard to score a clean point against, you return everything and against a SV player, thats bad news!
Ive sort of retired my SV player from main competitions now. i might revive him for some grass challengers, but his setup isn't strong enough to combat 90 power and groundstrokes against ITST level competition. However. against regular people, or realistic setups, im pretty confident :)

I still think I can beat anyone with my S&V if I play well enough. You just have to serve VERY well and make your risk shots on return games when it matters.

Thats the key, the serve. bralexx's returns were very good, i managed to put away some pretty difficult shoestring volley and some sprinting-across-the-net harsh volleys. Bear in mind as well i dont LT or use any other risks on my volley. I just never come up with the good shots on my own BP's, i should have defo forced a 3rd set.
Mind you, against tombs i was in dire straits and come back from a set and double break in the 2nd set down to win, although i did pussy out a little and my SV percentage dropped to like 50% when my serve was under pressure. :)

I don't see why you don't use risk on your volleys. First of all, if the returns are good, they aren't easy (if the returns aren't good, then make them pay for that). But mostly, it's not like you have some unfair advantage over baseliners - you've gotta use every weapon you've got.

I can attest to that.

Had a couple of matches today against Balkanpower, CHEDERER and tansupalavik.

The only one I lost was to tansu....he plays similar to me, or me to him...whatever.... but was using a 4x90..... and he is a very dangerous player with all these 90's. He can change the pace of the ball, which right now, not a lot of people can do. Lost 4.6 4.6

Then came Balkanpower. After quickly dismissing his realistic setup 6.4 6.4 I had asked him to bring the big gun! ...or fat gun, whatever.
Similar result 7:5 6:4.

CHEDERER was my finish for today. 6.4 7:6. He is a very smart player. Serves smart, returns smart and is one of the few that is able to change pace in rallies, something that will eventually place him in top 20.

Thanks to all of you guys for great matches!

P.S. My player for today:
Lefty Tommy Robredo
FH 86
BH 69
Serv 74
Return 55
Volley 44
Power 84
Speed 79
Stamina 69

I might have to start to. I can usually deal with a good return, but i love the vision when you hit a cracking volley off a attempted pass and there player spints at fast as possible but is too slow to reach it, and its lust a plain volley not a risk one. risk volleys seem to be hit so well and so good that the baseliner has absolutely no chance to get to it. But hey i guess its just me being stuck up. I will probably practice my LT volleys more from now on, out of neccecity rather than choice.

I mostly use risk on the first volley, deep into a corner. After that, the shots are powerful enough that you don't need risk - the guy at the baseline has less time to run them down.

thats true, the key is all about the first volley, if poor you have lost the point 90% of the time, if good you have won it 90% of the time.

I dont entirely agree with that. All he does when he plays me is use the doubel trigger most of the time, very effective.
Serves smart: i ususally get his serves back pretty consistenly .
Change pace: no, its all double trigger.
In top 20: Definately
