He is going to be a tough draw, he is a very good player, but after u play him then and if u win then u get a shot at me or rocketsfall :D

We have never played so if i somehow beat rockets fall then we could see our first macth.

unless u want to add me. Gamertag: Coolhand Texas

Yes so many players I haven't managed to play against yet. I will indeed add you to my list and try and get used to your style of play :) Anteros is all in our part of the draw lol as if it wasn't tough hard enough already and this is all before the quarter-finals

im sorry djarvik i take it as good fun until someone calls me childish......the first time i quit because i had to help my dad with work.....if u saw me playing world tour then it was my bro, as he also plays the game

and i did not quit the 2nd time, as we finished the match.....u did break me in the second set, but i won the third set

I think u are a friendly person but i wont relax if someone calls me childish, u have like no stats on return, as i do not either.....so put some on there if it bothers u that much

I am glad we on the same page. Childish, hardly qualifies as an insult... but if you feel this way, I will refrain myself in the future of using this word.

I didn't know you had a brother who plays TS3. Now I do. :)

As far as return, I actually started playing with 80 return and gradually downed it to 40, as my returns became more consistent.

Now maybe a time to revisit that, or even build a player just in case I meet you in the draw.

If this is, in fact, not an exploit but rather a weapon to use against risk returners, some detailed descriptions on how to pull it off would be appropriate. I do see some people speculating that you simply tap the kick serve button and that's it, but can anyone confirm that?

If you're wondering who the hell I am, I created an account on this forum months ago but managed to get addicted to Fallout 3 only a week later and haven't posted here since. The Fallout 3 drug-high is finally wearing off so I'm back on the TS3 World Tour and checking out this site more frequently. Hopefully I'll take the time soon to read up on how to enter the ITST tournaments, they sound like a lot of fun! Cheers.

It depends on your serve and power stats. I have 90 on both, and the only way I can hit below 100 mph is to just tap the button. I cannot hold a trigger, or the ball will go out everytime.

Basically, I have to purposely mis-time the serve.

Hollaa Itz Mike wrote:i dont find it cheesy at all, as Rob stated normal returns work fine against it......if they are going to use risk returns it is cheesy to mix it up?

eventually we are probably going to have a rule that says u have to have 90 on serve and hit it straight down the middle every time

if a player is waiting for the risk serve it is smart to throw in the changeup

I agree , just like in real tennis if you find something that makes it hard for your oponent why not use it ?

As long as there is an effective way to counter it , it is not cheese , basicly you are complaining because you can't risk return it ? but even Rob said that normal return works , so adjust and do it to him and see what he does.

I very rarely serve very slow but i do it sometimes with a greaty pleasure when my opponent double trigger risk return every single service :P

exactly the point of this thread. To find a solution. Thank you!

@AMAZING ZIZOU - I think your serve rating is too high to execute the serve like that.

BTW - in reality, the most effective way to counter a slow High Kicking serve it is to step in, and punish the ball on the rise...this serve is over effective only because of the rule in place, otherwise it would be a gimme.

I am convinced now that that serve is OK and here to stay, I will deal with it. I think we can close this thread now. There are plenty of suggestions on how to deal with the serve.

I played some guy on xbox live last night, he was using this serve all the time the only way to counter it is to move inside the baseline which is'nt allow on ITST, so i hope people here don't use it all the time, like that jabroni who i played

@crossers - using it all the time wouldn't be that bad, you can adjust, but using it in the mix with regular serves, makes is sooooo effective. Lets put it this way, I saw this serve for the first time in ITST 2 days ago when I created a thread. So not a lot of people use it.

@callofduty44 - read the thread, I don't think I can explain it better then it was already explained. Trust me, it is tough to return from behind the line with low return skill....with high return skill - no problem!
