Look i just played a match and all the guy did was risk return everything i served at him. These werent easy serves either. I was serving 136 into the wide corners and he was standing near the middle and still risk returned it perfectly. This guy didnt even have 70 on return stat. What am i supposed to do?

Well, if it's an ITST match, tell the host.

If it's a World Tour match, I usually just quit.

But, I think you want real advise. There's a few things that work. First, mix up the speed - don't use RT on every serve, and mix up stick and button serves. The slow serves can help a lot since it gives you time to react. The very best serve to hit against someone who stands way inside the baseline is a hard, deep, flat serve, right into the body - if you do it perfect you'll ace him, a little off and you might jam him. Even to jam him, you have to be VERY precise with your aiming - if you use the buttons, try not using LT since aiming very little will make it too close to the lines.

Good to get clarification on this :D

Now, if only the mods would be ever so good as to completely overhaul the womens' game here. IMO, the 40-90 rule doesn't work for them at all as they play so differantly from the men. I think it needs to be looked at but then I might be the only one unhappy with it so its ok. I am sad to say that I have decided to retire from ws anyway :(

No it wasnt an ITST match, it was a tournament in world tour. I always serve with LT + RT and a button, but i never thought about going into his body. Thanks for the advice.

great! I too believe that this is a great Idea and this should have been implemented sooner, the main reason I do not play the top spin would tour Is because there so many cheap players out there. That brings me here, and so far so good!!

I didn't even realize there was an issue about returning from the baseline.
As most who have played me would know, I stand way back when I return but lately I have been mixing up my return of serves...I guess that counts out returning close to the baseline. ;)

I support the banning of anything cheap!

This is a fine decision and i totally agree with it, but also maybe ban serving out wide too?? It would make things even more fair??

I agree also with this , it should be made clear on the "rules" page which it isnt and newcomers to the tour weren`t sure of the rules when they first joined
