I think andy may have sine sort of personal grievance. I never mentioned any drugs. Andy did... I went out my way not to mention drugs as a name..
But yh this is not glory. This is what not to do.

In general, the dumbest things I ever did were the countless times I drove drunk. It was so stupid, but when my friends and I would go out drinking, we didn't have a designated driver - we had me, the designated drunk driver. I'm so lucky to have never had a wreck, or gotten a ticket for drunk driving - even managed to pass a sobriety test while I was pretty hammered.

I'm trying to think of something that stands out, but aside from the driving, I'm usually pretty composed when I'm drunk - which, combined with a high tolerance for alcohol, was probably why no one ever worried about me being the drunk driver.

Oh, this might be the dumbest thing (definitely the worst thing, since it was a felony):

When I was about 15, I was visiting a friend out of state. We were roaming the streets drunk, and someone noticed a car with the keys in it. Naturally, we decided to take it for a spin, and park it in a McDonald's drive-through. I'm sure a lot of people had a really crappy morning over that one.

Haha wow that's top-notch drunken mischief.

Reminds me of a time my firend and I stole one of our friend's cars from in front of his GF's house at like 2 a.m. His doors wouldn't lock and the ignition didn't even need a key, you could just turn it with your fingers to start the car. What do you expect from a C3PO-colored 1986 Honda Accord though

We:

1) Stole random traffic/construction signs (1 with a flashing light on it) and filled his car with it

2) Left a note saying something like "I wouldn't look in the trunk if I were you"

3) Very briefly brought his stereo to FULL BLAST then turned it off, so that when he got in his car at 5 am to leave before her parents got up, he was BLASTED WITH PANTERA'S "VULGAR DISPLAY OF POWER" ALBUM :lol:

You reminded me of what we used to do to each others cars - sometimes just when the driver was paying for gas or something:

Turn the radio, heater (or AC, depending on the weather), and windshield wipers on full.... the best part though was that a couple of us had VW's, and you could pop the steering wheel cover off and connect two wires that would make the horn turn on, but only if the key was turned on.

So when the driver turns the key on, the horn, wipers, radio, and heater all start going off. :lol:

Same here I drove drunk literally countless amounts of times and NEVER got a DUI while all my friends were getting them left and right. I'm lucky as well to have never crashed...I tended to drive really fast when drunk, like 100+mph on the freeway if it's wide open.

It's ironic that I drunk drove for so many years and finally ended up getting popped for a DWI but not for alcohol, it was for WEED. Yes I actually got arrested, thrown in jail for 20 hours and charged with driving under the influence of marijuana and Valium and Vicodin :lol:

The super **** part of it all is that I was actively on NONE of those drugs listed...I had not smoked weed yet that day and the pills I had taken 1 and 2 days prior to my arrest. However, I had a weed pipe in my car and they, through the expertise bestowed on them by a grueling 4 week training course (lol), determined that I was under the influence and cuffed me.

Long story short I got a lawyer and got the charges dropped to Reckless Driving. Everything's already taken care of, this was a year ago now...

In a way i do have personal grievance with drugs , or even finding them remotely funny , As a scotsman you will know what Aberdeen is like for heroin use, I lost 1 of my best friends from a smack OD , and one of my friends died due to withdrawals from it , ended up hanging himself as he was so tormented , so yes to say that i am anti drugs is an understatement m8

One of my best childhood friends died of a heroin O.D less than a year ago and I was one of his pall-bearers at the funeral. I put him in the ground..

I can still joke about this shit and so can you

btw only 1 person had even mentioned drugs aside from alcohol before you.

i'm not against drinking, but drinking and driving is a bad combination, not because you can kill yourself but because you can kill others, drunk drivers have no right to put my family, friends, in danger, no way.

I remember once i woke up in a hotel wearing this, i also remember there were more people in the room wearing crazy stuff,....didn't know any of them btw hahahaha, crazy night i guess because i couldn't remember anything the next morning and didn't even know how i got to that hotel (long time ago)

Wow.. Some hilarious stories here, which will make my stupid accident sound average.. but here it goes.

I was out clubbing with some friends out of town and we planned on getting a taxi back together. This didnt happen and me and two friends left early and left 2 behind as they insisted on not getting a taxi and walk down the motorway. So we get back and 1 of my mates who was part of the guys renting the house we went back to had left his key inside. Therefore we would of had to have waited atleast 2 hours to get in.

At this point as a joke we start lightly kicking the front door, 10 mins later im going straight through it with a Jet Li Esque Kick. Why??? i couldent tell you i was on another planet as most are. Soon after the police turn up as a neighbour had called, my friend and i had crawled through the whole and at the time were finding it all to funny, then my friend outside said the police had arrived in a Van, so im like shiittt, and my friend goes and hinds under the bed laughing????

I crawl back out into the street to see the police (About 7 of them) armed and ready to enter the house, my friend soons come out as well. I speak to one of them and explained whats happened. Long story short i was about to get owned by the big **** of the law and arrested etc until they found out my friend was partly renting the property and allowed me to gain access to the property. I was otherwise going to be done for Burgulary. Had to buy a new front door for £250 the next day.

Dont kick front doors in when drunk.

I think this thread is a good "don't drink and do drugs" commercial.

I've had three friends die from drugs/alcohol: One guy from an overdose (we suspect it was intentional), and two girls from car accidents (not the same accident). The two girls were cousins, and the guy was married to one of them, with 4 kids. A lot of my friends got pretty messed up with drugs - especially the ones who got into harder stuff (cocaine, heroin, etc).

Ali makes a good question. The thing is the reason people drink is to simply come out of there shells more, makes everything seem easier and more social than normal, especially in the bars etc, knowing the symptoms you can easily manage what you drink and avoid doing things like mentioned in this post. I for one drink alot less than i used to and less frequently and i can now just go out have a few drinks and enjoy myself with no problems.

We do it because it's great fun. I'm not advocatting drug use but evry1 should at least get drunk n high once in their life. Had some super fun times while mangled.

Although don't get behind the wheel of a car, that is just plain stupid. Unless your a redneck ofc.
