The only thing that would suggest otherwise would be that it's the last Grand Slam of the year, not much momentum for marketing after that...

Any thoughts?

I'd bet the house on a release date coinciding with Wimbledon. After all, they're the only tennis game with Wimbledon. Makes perfect marketing sense.

I would have done it before French. For some reason tennis games are extremely popular in France and Wimby will be right around the corner.

No chance for Ausies and very little for US Open. Yes biggest market, but for a game evolving around Grand Slam, they wont do it end of the season and month away from the next event.

I say about a month or 2 weeks before French is rather perfect. Clay season is very popular as well.

Found this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dIBqllHCBGU

I know I shouldn't judge the game based on these clips, but something feels off with just about everything they showed us in this trailer. Lots of semi-crouching forehands...

This early in the process, wouldn't level too much weight on the details.

The game "looks" damn good though, right. :P That, and the game has Edberg. Based on that fact alone, it's gonna be hard to be a hater. :)

Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.

Looking forward to the game, but some of the animations in that vid were a tad dodgy. Hope they sort things out by whichever slam next year they release this at.

Some screens.

Even if the gameplay sucks, still might buy it, just for the eye candy.

Yes siree, I'm stupid like that. :P

http://www.jeuxvideo.fr/jeux/grand-chel ... nis-2.html

This is a preview of the game in french. They have played with the game, and they said the AI is quite easy to beat ; the gameplay is difficult at the very beginning, but after 5 minutes you can play very well and it's funny.

They also say that there will just be 6 courts in the game : the 4 real gran slam, and 2 others without license.
