Regular Tour Rule Suggestion

Postby Ary1g » Wed, 12 Oct 2011 17:44

Hi

After a good break from this corrupted forum I'm back. :D

The latest ITST matches I have played here has been against players using "20" builds. Finding it quite annoying that they have such overpowered features, meaning extreme strengths, which make them very difficult to counter unless you're using one of the builds yourself.

I'm aware that my suggestion might not do much of a difference, but I think it can do a little. :)

My suggestion this time is to ban 20-0-0, 0-20-0, 0-0-20 builds.

That way, there will be 15 builds banned.

Here's a pdf of the builds.

I have left out the wings. Since these can be changed personally which again means we will have more difficulty controlling it. The other attributes though, we can't change, therefore we can control if someone is using a banned build. Check it out:

http://www.mediafire.com/?wkttbgb4w83hf3u

Also I think that this rule can been seen through by the ones still wanting to use those builds, but if your opponent don't agree to it, then you'll have to use a build that is not banned.

This will mean that the players who really want to follow the rule, will have their laptop (or even a paper print) besides them and checking their opponent builds. While the one's that don't care just use their regular setups as long as their opponent doesnt say anything.

I can't really see that it will do much other than maybe bring more coaches into the gold hunt. Which in my opinion is a good thing.

What do you think?
Please explain your statements, so that we can have a healthy discussion. :)

yes mate,
i ve played with you, but if you want to play with people who havent this set up, you ve to play sim tour, because there aren´t a rule who which ban 0-0-20, 20-0-0 or 0-20-0.
:P .

Therefore I'm suggesting this as a new rule in regular tour. :)

You can't create your own builds in sim tour.

And he´s back, i was starting to miss your pretty much useless posts.

Ok man say we ban 20 builds, whats the big difference from 100 volley to 97, from 98/98 to 95/95 from 90/90 wings to 86/86 wings?

You see things will stay the same, your rule is pointless.

But nice try.

Thanks for posting. My "useless posting" still makes you spend time answering me. :)

You have a point. As I've already written in the starting post:
There is not a big difference, but I think it might be enough difference to maybe give more coaches a chance. It might not look like a difference maker, but sometimes it's the small changes that make excellence.

I think 90/90 is quite much better than 86/86. Together, it is 8 attributes less. Now, tell me who would not want 8 attributes more if they could?

Yes, but you can still use Jan Zajic with a 1-19-0 or 0-19-1 build, just to mention some of the possibilities.

I looked at the PDF list of the coaches banned, and about 70-80% of the coaches aren't that cheap IMO. Even Babb has never been a problem to play for me (although a bit boring/predictable). If you are going to ban these extreme setups, you should single out the overpowered ones. There are just too many setups on your list that aren't overpowered.

I honestly like my ideia of realistic stats better.

http://www.intertopspintour.net/forum/v ... hp?t=15742

its simple, its ease, and a lot of so called OP setups will be banned.

Well Rob, a open forum is NOT an open forum when moderators just close threads because they don't like a person or his opinions. It's NOT open when they stop threads because they don't like an idea. The only situation an open forum locks threads is when someone insults others. Therefore, since that wasnt the case when you locked my threads, this is a corrupt forum, where information is allowed only if moderators agree to it.

My first thread about the 90 attribute there are 32 people who voted YES! Which means, that there might be 32 people interested in discussing a way towards a solid rule suggestion. But then you lock it?

I have looked at LokiSharps suggestion, and it is much better than any of my suggestions I've come up with and I will think it's very weird if it's not tested out in a rule test tournament.

Just wondering how long it is before you lock that thread too...
