did do anything to the freakish volley skills????

if not, i've got all kinds of bad feelings about this update

yeah i've got a bad feeling about that too. hopefully the super volley builds that have low stamina and speed are affected. and the whole easy shots are easier to put away, something like that. we'll see.

they said that positioning as well as timing would affect shots plus factor in returning being difficult should deter abusers because they always relied o the timing of the volley.

so but the patch i think intends to change this by making shot selection based on the type of incoming ball and position your in much more difficult rather relying on basically just timing the ball well.

which hopefully means we will be better rewarded for good shot selection and in the the right position to hit the shot.on the whole i think this is great news. now this is not desperate but they need to adjust the second serve in the next patch. but im happy 2K took our feedback and did something with it

They should call this patch the dawn of the DB.

Kudos to 2k for trying to improve the game, but i'll feel really sorry for them when half the complainers complain about something else, and the other half complain about the patch itself ;)

can we talk 2k into putting in a challenge system that would be nice and a fun feature towards the game.

fair play huh...

so they are taking away speed and stamina (rather increasing their low stats effect) from power players, and increasing baseline shots with 'good' timing... i got a feeling every player will become a high stat ground stroke and speed with zero power and just push the ball all over the place while power players fall over after 2 shots,

ugh, doesn't sound too good, but i guess we'll see, here's hopin for the best

so you reckon right now members of the Abusers society are making welch's as we speak.

it's true welch is overpowered but when i use to struggle against welch i wasn't as good at the game as I am now i think i can hold my own against welch the wings dont seem to bother much as much as they should as i opt for two orange ones it's just abusing the droppers and reaching balls they shouldn't ,though the patch is designed for you to hit a defensive shot when put in a tough position.

so who knows the supposed advantage you feel welch may have could be relatively small as with the patch hitting outright winner when on defense should be tougher and shot selection become more important

Waouh good news. I'm happy 2k sports don't forget us. I have 3 comments for Djarvik. this is kind of my feedback...

- The timing should be more severe. I mean when it's too late or early, the ball is out or hits the net. I remember i was nervous when i tried to save hot points with a two triggers shot on top spin 3. I really like to get this feeling back on tp4
- What about new players ? Del Porto, Tsonga...
- Instant Rocket should be patched. It's one of biggest skills of the game. players in bad situations can easily hit tremendous shots with this skill

Thanks 2k Sports for putting up with us and actually taking our feedback and constantly reworking and tweaking a masterpiece! Not too often do developers take time to take into consideration the players' experience. I, for one want to blow you a BIG KISS and THANK YOU to 2K and ITST. I mean so much work has gone into this game and this site and I hope we're all appreciative.

Its a great idea mate but there is no need for that. The challenge system only exists in real life because players believe that a call by a line judge or umpire could be wrong. And thats fair enough, as although they are trained to a very high standard, there is a certain degree of human error. However with a game, by definition it cannot be wrong. The computer is completely infallible as it knows whether a ball is in or out. For a challenge system to exist, it would mean that the CPU would knowingly have to call good balls out, or out balls in to create a challenge scenario.

Will the itst staff need to change sim characters' builds after the update?
