Make sure to serve well so not to be in this situation.

SV - SERVE and volley. If you not serving well - forget about the style.
You cannot expect to win a point when your opponent has sufficient time to execute a passing shot. Every shot of yours starting from serve should put your opponent in trouble. If one of them doesn't - you should lose the point.

SV in a nutshell for ya ;)

You're right, but first of all i don't search the winner while i'm at net but i try to make the opponent unable to pass me.
I said that i am not good as the guy in the video at serving, but his serves are amazing. I don't serve as good as him but my serves are good too... i don't hit lines every time, but often. I can hurt my opp with serve, but he's still able to hit that return i've mentioned. If you're on psn, we can try some matches so i can explain you the problem.

When I have time, I will let you know. A bit busy at nights lately....

Anyway, I am not saying this return is not effective, it is, what I am saying is that you can try and trick, fool your opponent into thinking you are going to SV, but then stay back and hit this shot normal. Did you try that? What was the outcome?

Also, there is someone who thinks a complete opposite from you, see below. As I said, the problem is you got used to a high volley stat that increases your timing windows to the point where it is nearly impossible to hit a bad volley. Now you are being asked to "work" the point better, to put yourself in better position and to time the volley better.

SIM tour is less then 2 weeks old, but you already saying these things ;) You need to practice.

They only way it becomes a wrong foot shot is if you press a shot button and/or direction first, before seeing the return. If you do not commit to direction or shot selection - there is no way to wrong foot you right?

Djarvik, just a quick question: could you please say what you think are the main "keys for each of the 4 styles in SIM, as it is very different from reg tour.

I don't want to troll, but... Recently, i've took a SIM s&v setup to play against El Duuderino (who took a Normal Tour character, so he had a great advantage) and, i've beat him 7-6...

What i mean here, is that it's possible to play well with s&v : even with a sim setup you can beat regular setups if you're good :p

True, but no SIM setup can even compete with welch, rabari, babb.

The problem is that you need to encounter players that don't use the various tricks to easily beat a s&v player (they works very fine especially in sim tour)

you need to meet a player who doesn't know how to play against a s&v player? yeah that might help indeed.

Hmm, there are no tricks to beat good SV players, look at C4ill he is probably the best SV players on the 360 tour and he can beat top baseliners who probably know how to make those tricks you speak off, you gotta mix ur shots, try to stay unpredictable and read the moving patterns of your oponnent.
