, altho there is a bit of racism i think on the part of the umpires and officials , i remember Jennifer Capriati telling an umpire to get " the **** referee" out during a match with Hingis and not a single warning was given, ive always believed commentators and a lot of the officials are racist towards the williams

I think that was in Australia, Capriati had a gob on her aswell.

The umpire was following the letter of the law, I don't have a problem with that but then common sense should prevail.

On the flip side the player should not be allowed to blatantly intimidate the officials, should nothing be said for the fear of it being called racism?

No i totally agree , and i personally feel sorry for Serenas opponent, but if anyone carries on like that an umpire they should always be rebuked.

True, there is probably no room for "common sense" in officialing anymore because it varies too much from person to person.

Like time violations, it depends which way the umpire is feeling, either enforce a 30 second rule all the time or don't bother having it.

Players now sat together and having a chat, better to see.

Seriously though Stosur really had the range on the forehand and serve and refused to be dictated too, she really won the match rather than Serena losing it.

4 different slam winners, 7 different finalists, hope the Serena blowout doesn't overshadow a great victory.

it's clear she is not number one the best thing that could happen to her is to lose the ranking so less pressure and focus on her so she can focus on improving her game to win a slam 'im not going to miss tennis cant only get you so far' but one thing is for certain it wont win you slams. Oh by the way Andy Murray to win the AO 2012
