True but i think it really comes from the chest, elbow and shoulder too, in fact just whole core strength. I think the open stance 1HBH is probably one of the rarest shots out there (probably cos you'l bust up all your joints keep trying to do it)

You can already see Golubev choking away the set in a big way.

Yeah you need to be strong all around in your upper body.

I just said that cuz I don't think a lot of people know the pros work on wrist strength/stabilizing a lot, that's part of how they're able to do such crazy things with the ball

Yeah its true. Partly why a lot of them can dig back seemly unretrievable shots is due to big wrist strength. It also helps when pulled full stretch to chase down a volley or something, a flick of the wrist (or wrist) can create a great angle and wrist strength also gives a lot of pace on a full stretch passing shot. Murray does this a lot for example.

Wow Rafa pulled out a cheesy 'glitch return' to get the set.

I never once got the sense that Golubev was gonna capitalize on any of those 7 or 8 set points...he seemed scared to actually win the set

btw guys where all the respiratory problems Djokovic has always had during all his career gone?? mmm just wondering, those respiratory problems don't get better with a better training (personal experience) or whatever, so what's going on there?

Some whispers are that dr igor cetojevic who is a specialist in 'magnetic therapy' (or some sort of chartlan) might be prescribing something else.... 8)

weren't the respiratory problems linked to his intolerance with regard to gluten? So that could explain that, I guess.

A little harder to explain would be Rafalito's apparent chronic bandaged up knees of a couple seasons ago. Whatever happened to all that? All healed up now? Perhaps the waters around Majorca have some healing powers?
