Sim Tour Ideas.

Postby MrMackNasty » Sat, 23 Jul 2011 20:44

I've heard the SIM tour in TS3 was almost as huge as the regular tour for TS3. I would like to know how the sim tour was sim? Wasn't there a certain list of players you could use?

I just figured I would bring it up and have everyone bring in some ideas on how a SIM tour could be created for TS4. Hopefully after everyone has some insight on this subject, the management team could come to a possible conclusion on how to make a SIM tour possible.

Yeah that's correct, we used this roster

In my opinion, we're not ready to have a SIM tour yet, time will say, but yeah bring up your ideas
Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.

I disagree. I think with all of the new members and the so callled "cheesy" play going around lately it would be the best time(maybe?). I have no problem with just a regular tour btw and have very little instances that I find my oppenent cheesy.

it wouldn't work. What they'd have to do is create at least one player for each coach on the game. Give the strongest coaches their weakest possible set up, and the weakest coaches the strongest possible set-up, allowing the players to choose to allocate however many points to forehand or backhand as they'd like. For example, the player with David Gallo as coach would be relegated to using his 3 Def, 17 Off set up. And the Jan Chalupa coached player would have to use the 14 Def, 6 off set-up......

wait a minute, that sounds like a great idea

LOL yup.

but i think it would be better to just make 3 of chraters for each style of ply, with different cooaches for each.

The Sim Tour was indeed awesome! I agree that this game could definitely use the same. It could be anything from limiting how high certain stats could reach, to actually recreating the sim roster (or designing a new one). As much as the coaches add to the game, unfortunately I'd say for SIM it'd have to be limited to either bronze coaches, or have each player with a specific coach in their stats and bio, though with that you'd see everyone gravitating toward the TI's, IR's, SVK's, etc.

I feel the presence of a djarvik post...

What happend to the idea of limiting just one stat over 85? Did it die with the test tournament´s end?

After reading some suggestions about a SIM tour, I decided to create a topic to give my contribution. So, here we go:

1. Just allow silver coaches, because they just give one special attribute.

2. Ban coaches that give Monster Defense and Drop Shot Artist, the most criticized attributes

3. Use the 40/90 limits

4. now, the most polemic one: in the beginning of each season, the player must put his only setup that will use the entire season. Each player will just be able to change the coaches that the selected setup offers. I had this idea because, in the real world, a player can´t change his abilities drastically. And it would be nice to know how your opponent plays, trying to create strategies to beat him.

At the end of the season, the player would be able to change his setup and post in his personal page.

Well, that´s it, just an idea...

It can be, but I believe this would give a lot of work for tournaments hosts. Maybe we could do this not for the role season, but for another period of time, like a month.

And I made some tests in the calculator, and even choosing one setup you could change a lot your gamestyle depending on the coach you´re using. It seems to me that silver coaches were made in a way that you can power a setup or balance you player.

Try to make some tests and see what you got. I believe this can be very fun.

I think that's a really neat idea. The unfortunate downside is that I think it might cause a lot of the players, especially ones turned off more so by sim to become bored and eventually stop playing the tour.
