Honestly I am a little bit disappointet, that some matches are clear since 4 days or so and are not played yet ... after the draw I couldn't wait to play my first match...

What is the matter, that after that many days and a weekend, the games aren't played yet ?

I haven't been able to play :x . Already contact with Simms59 (my opponent) and he told me he would tell me when he could play (that was the 12th June). I just PM him again to tell him that deadline is tomorrow, so let's see if he can make it. Come on people, if we want this to keep going up we have to play the matches on time!!!

It was definitely a lot of fun Petry. Leo, I'm not sure why you and Coop weren't able to get together. He is my best friend and I am sure he will play his matches in the future. He said you lived in Turkey which is quite the distance (7 hours). I'm expecting a good match with SVS in the next round. He seems like a strong member of the community so I'm anticipating a good match.

Wow, that was tight. What a match against Simms59 last night. He was two sets in the lead and had three matchballs (one at 5:4 serving, two in the tie-breaker). Finally it was a 6:7 4:6 7:6 6:3 6:2 for me. Thanks for the crashing game. You really had deserved to win.

I don't want to offend anyone, but I think there is a massive lack of communication. The last day for the quarterfinal was the 22nd, now it is the 24th - the last day for the semis. I would at least expect some information from the tournament host, saying, who will now advance to the semis or that at the moment there is no time to determine that.

Even if there are some players here, that don't communicate with their opponents to make the matches, in my opinion the tour-host should make decisions at the date, where they are axpected.

Beside that, everyone shuld try to spread this game more. I am talking to friends, and show them the game, I try to post in forums and on facebook to gain more people to play this wonderful game, and if everyone here who is interested in having a good tour does that, we should soon have tournaments with more than 9 participants. Honestly i doulbt that all 9 players will be playing all their games in the upcoming tournament.

Again, I don't want to offend anyone, but personally I am a little bit disappointed in how this whole thing here is running ...

You're not entirely wrong but not everyone is to blame. MartyPab has not play a single match but still is in quarter final and he doesn't seem to be really focused on the game right now. And our host Slicer ITST is apparently absent since Friday. That's why the tournament is jamed and the Farmer's classic is not closed yet.
But I agree with the lack of communication because I have the feeling that my messages are not read.

So if the host is absent, why doesn't anybode know? And why there isn't someone second to help him with this kind of stuff. I would be glad to help, if there is no other way, the tournaments can go on. I have some time to do some of those thing atm ...

A great way to make sure not to offend any hosts is to PM them instead of posting in a public Forum.

Everywhere you look - there is my name next to Slicer's, but I have not received a single PM from you guys.

I will attempt to address some of the questions that are being put forth in this thread:

- Deadlines. As much as we try to adhere to deadlines, we are being a bit more lenient when it comes to QF, SF and Finals. 2-day extension is possible if two opponents genuinely trying to find time to play but are not succeeding. In this case, the extension can and will be given only if the two parties have agreed to a mutual time of play.

Now for the actual case in hand: I have updated the draw.

- Players communicating to each other. This is a crucial part of ITST. Without communication we have no community and no tour. Be sure to contact your opponent early and be sure to offer your time of play in FIRST pm sent. "When can you play?" pms are useless and will be ignored by the host in decision making process.

- Hosts. All hosts are volunteers. It is not uncommon that they are not around during the weekend. We all have lives, families. In a case the host is 1-2 days late in updating a draw - do not panic, stay cool and wait. On a 3rd day you can send him a pm. You may not be aware, but he might have given an extension to one of your potential opponent. He will in lieu of that extend your deadline as well.

- Tour. In order for the tour to function well, we need players and we need matches played. In the beginning stages of the tour, it is crucial that matches are played. More so then strict adherence to the deadline. Hence the deadline now are somewhat flexible. I say "somewhat", that doesn't mean that they will be extended indefinitely or without a reason. Once again, in order for the host to extend ANY deadline, he needs to see a genuine attempt by both parties to schedule the match.

From now on, lets keep the logistics on PM basis. If you have any issues with the tour, PM me or Slicer, or both. One of us will address it in a timely matter.

Farmers Classic has 11 signups. Usually we do not create a draw for less then 16 participants. I will wait till tomorrow mid day and create the draw then. Hopefully we will get a few more sign-ups.
