when i thought of these teams i not only looked at ranking and head 2 head matches but i looked at how u did against some of the top players....

sry man but we cant have every single player play on the team...

i think it is a good idea to go by ranknig to see who is on what team...and then those 5 players should play each other to see who should be in the lineup...however i know djarvik believes it should go solely by ranking so i think we all need to agree on what is the most fair....

i for one think that there are not enough tournaments yet to go solely by ranking...and u cant say im being unfair because if i went solely by ranking i would play #1....we should see if we can get 3 teams with 5 guys on each team. so team 1 would be guys ranked #1-5. then these guys would each play each other. Davis Cup isnt until July 7th, so i am sure this could be done.

take it easy mate. we are going to have 3 teams. talked to slicer about it, and he said it was ok.

We have over 15 players wanting to play, so you can see that it is hard to put players on teams. Not everyone is going to play with 3 teams.

djarvik. i dont want to argue man. tell him your idea, theres no reason why u should not play davis cup. we all just need to decide on what is the fairest way to go about making the team.

eze17 is one of our best players and he is now suspended due to people not listening each other out. u are also one of our best players and now u say u are not playing due to argueing.

to be honesty we need both of u guys on the team. i dont understand why this cant all be worked it. we just need to listen to each others ideas instead of instantly saying that their idea is not the right way to go about things.

I can honestly say you really don't want me on team 1. I have no great results to show, and many bad losses against the top guys. I might be able to grab a win at #3 singles, but even that would be iffy...

Well, unless Djarvik and EZE both are out, then that changes everything.

I agree with Mike, except I do think Djarvik should be on team #1 since he could have a good matchup with some top players.

But really the most important thing is we need to decide on an overall USA captain (is that Coolhand?). The overall captain can have the final say for the team breakups, possibly with input from those who wish to give it.

After each team is set, we could determine individual team captains who will decide on the lineup for each match, arrange practices, etc.

How does that sound?

I dont want to get in anyone's way. You Mike made it clear that you don't want me on the team and you think that your friends are better players. Which is fine, it could be the case. But, you have not played me, I have beat EZE and I have never played TB. So this is all coming off a bit arrogant from you. Not saying you are wrong, just the way you presented it.

In my case, I play with a very SIM-Like players (in my mind), so I get crushed when I meet a good player with strong setup, hence "spotty" results. I am sure if I would use one build, the stronger one, I would do a bit better. But it is simply not fun for me, I want to win "my way". I remember you said it is near impossible to play and win with 60s power, well, I play with it.

I understand you are friends, so I wont get in the way. Go ahead and play with them.

EZE is suspended for 10 days for ignoring management requests numerous times. Let's leave that subject.

Davis cup is supposed to be a team, with team spirit. I am not feeling it here and I don't want to participate if it is not fun.

My idea was to first pick a captain. This way there is one person deciding on the best roster for US. Sometimes match-ups can mean a lot in Davis cup. The captain should pick the best over-all team. The reason I say this, is because I was thinking this year to play a Pro-Match instead of doubles match in Davis cup. And I was thinking that Jayl0ve should be on the first team purely because of his experience with Pros. And so on....

djarvik i am not saying i dont want u on the team. i am saying i think we should all play each other to determine what a good lineup should be. i believes that a ranking only tells u so much. i agree with sherlock that your skill set would work good...here are my feelings on the team

by looking at results me and tim tebowner have the closest matches with some of the top ranked guys. therefore, i would say that he should play #2, but djarvik u are also ranked high, so i think u and tim should play each other just to see the difference in skill level. thats all....as far as the #3 spot. i think u and EZE are almost exactly the same in skill level. but i think u match up the best with a teams #1 player, but u are a risk to play at #3 as your 60 speed character could be overpowered. idc how we do it man...i was just putting my 2 cents in.

its not that i dont want u on the team, i just want the best possible team....if u being on the team makes it the best possible team then im happy witht that. but i feel lke if davis cup isnt until july 7th we should have plenty of time to play each other and see who are best players are.

yea, real talk, im just hitting my stride as well on this game. and my results as of recent are showing that. I feel i have the skill level of one of the top 20 players in the world, but, alas, i dont have the bulk results as of yet. So, I'll play for a team that needs me more, especially since i have dual citizenship with the U.S. and canada. I think i can start for Canada's team and have more fun playing all the matches, even if we as a team lose in the first or second round.

So those are the 3 teams that i come up with. if djarvik is insistent on not playing we can bump somebody upp of of team 2 or just leave it how it is,
