It would just be for the semi-finals of the major tourneys... or the "pro" tourneys. The Challengers wouldn't have to have that restriction so per week you'd only have 4 guys to track.

...that is depending on how many tourneys you'll have per week. But looking at the schedule at most you'll be running 4 pro tourneys in one session, so that's 16 dudes lol... (that's a bit much...)

I played AndyMurray ITST in the first round of the warm up turnament, I had Roddick and he had Murray, and we were on an equal footing(I won only 7-6 6-4). I don't know why so much poeple complain about Roddick, in my opinion, he is not as efficient as a Nadal or even Federer in multiplayer. Murray and Djokovic have superefficient return of serve, that's why I think they are also part of the most efficient players in the game; so I don't think it'll be any pro to forbid, they all have strenghts and drawbacks (I even think that Blake is more efficient than Roddick in the game...).
In my opinion, the first five guys of the original roster+blake are the best. The worst are Wawrinka and Tomic.

I'll 100% agree with this pro tour, I had a lot of fun playing AndyMurray and other friends with these players (often more than with created players).

Thanks Banthasmaker , I agree with you. I dont believe that Roddick or any player is better than others and if they are, it is by such small margins that it shouldnt make a difference.

I also dont agree with the comment that a tournament using only pros would be dull as everyone would pick Roddick. i dont think they would and even if they did, this is an ONLINE game so everyone plays the game differently no matter which character they have.

How many of you play completely different rallies with your different charcter creations? Unless you make a character with real intentional differences like serve and volley, you will probably construct rallies in similar ways. This is why i believe that even if we all played with the same character, the matches would still be a lot of fun because it is after all online/human controlled!

Playing with the pros adds a real sense of realism to the feel of the match. They look better than our creations, the signature shots are great to watch and we can really see who is best on ITST because we can only use pros!

Lets at least give it a try! I reckon people will end up prefering it!

I don't think you realize how good is Federer in the game. His forehand alone make him on of the best players of the game. I think you also forgot Blake in your list of the most used players. (Simon and Davydenko are not bad either...) So don't throw the baby out with the bath water...

also does it matter that you play a couple of Roddicks in one tournament? the fact that it is a human behind the character (i.e online and not computer controlled) will surely make every match different anyway.

i think it will be really fun and exciting to see the pros on an ITST tour. It will look a lot better and feel like we are in a more real event.

come on give it a chance at least!

I realize that (the "other" stands for the rest). It is not a matter of how good each player is, but a matter of which setup is the best. And (with History's help) there is ALWAYS one setup in online tennis gaming that is the most effective for masses. And what is also a fact, is that competitive players ALWAYS look for an edge. Put the two together. You will have tournaments full of 1-3 players.

Granted, not right away, the game is still new and everything looks nice and dandy.

Believe me, I would love nothing else then having a Pro tour. I just can't be blind to the fact that a few players in any roster are always stronger and will be used more. Multiply this x10 and stretch over a full tour/season.
