Shot counter. It may not stop the best players from dominating their service games, but it certainly makes people think twice about coming with the bomb every time.

Well, it is Return Counter. Yeah, I am currently trying it. It works great against a guy with fast flat serves, as you basically redirect the pace, but it useless against kickers and slices.

It works great against normal big servers, but not against the superhuman ones.

What I am trying to do now (unsuccessfully so far) is create a guy with 85 Reflex. I am getting high 70's .... bu no dice to go over 80. Mainly because you don't get the right coaches for some reason, for defensive players.

But still trying...

Try giving the offensive baseline points right at the end and see what happens.

That's funny, because I have "shot counter" which works for ALL hard shots, serves or groundstrokes. I just tap A on a hard shot and I come up with an accurate and hard counter. You're right, it doesn't work for slices or kicks, as it shouldn't. That's why I said it's not a complete solution, but one that at least counters against constant flat serves.

My all rounder has shot counter and return serve counter. Yeah it doesn't work for kickers and slicers, but I mix things up. Sometimes I tap, some times I charge.
Even with it it's still hard to return those 98ser 98pw guys roaming WT. You still have to guess at times though, but I absolutely love shot counter. Lol, accuracy and power in just a tap. It's so funny when they hit a phenomenal shot and I return it with an even better one.

Wait. I have shot counter too, but I thought u had to hold the flat shot button to do this "counter shot" to activate the skill no?
So when somebody hits a really hard ball, you just do a tap (control shot)?

That sounds like it'd be great for people who don"t pre-press.

I thought that's what it said on the description. You do an A (flat) control shot. On a hard ball you don't really have time to do a power shot anyways.

Well these huge beserker servers are something else, but with the right tactics can be beaten. I've beat two guys from the top 10 in the rankings tonight. I think I've have had the most fun tonight in those two matches than any of the others. sure if I had lost I might be thinking differently but I really did enjoy it. One guy totally sucked, I mean it's the only way he would win a match but as I got into it both dudes did break down and the serves didn't seem so accurate. All I can say is it tells you a lot about a guy who feels the need to put so much stats on a serve. You don't need it, the stats are best placed somewhere else ; )

Agreed. I actually find these guys EASIER to beat than the guys who have 70-75 on FH/BH/Serve and 90 on power/stamina. The score with the big servers might be closer, but the match is never really in jeopardy. Even if I can't break his serve he still has to be very lucky to win a point on me in the tiebreak. With shot counter I almost look forward to playing someone like this.

Not sure if I'd feel the same way with a player like this in the hands of a really good ITST player though. Their all-around skills would be much better.
