How does it work with the new Level and Attributes-System?

Postby o Sinna o » Sat, 26 Feb 2011 17:38

As you see on these Screenshot from IGN Federer has 560, Sampras has 560, but Murray has only 555 Attribute-Points and all are maxed out at Level 20!

http://uk.media.ps3.ign.com/media/085/0 ... mgs_1.html

So my Question is: How does it work with your own Creation this Time? Is it possible that we all reach different maxed out Attributepoints so soon we reached the fully trained Level 20 or is there a solid Attributepoints-Number we can all reach like 540 or 560 or so?

And my second Question is. Are other Aspects playing a role and effecting your Gameplay than the Level and the Attributepoints? Like Specialskillz you can reach through coaches?

Clarify please if you know about it ofcourse. :)

from what we've seen it's not about individual skill points anymore. You don't get to individually choose what skills you can develop and enhance. The only thing you can do is choose your coach as you assign skill sets (3 categories) to your player and the coach will give you bonuses (+5 power, +7 speed, etc).

Everyone, pro or custom character, maxes out at level 20. Yes, some pros/custom characters will have more/less than the others. This is because of the coaches. Coaches give special skills, and bonus points to attributes. So although Fed and Murray are at level 20, Fed's coach probably gives him 5 more points in certain attributes than Murray's coach.
Yes, our custom characters will be within a range of points.

Probably if you use a bronze level, silver and gold level serve oach it will be possible to have a 100 serve. But the sacrifices you make in other areas will be a big disadvantage.

Yeah sinna you'll get it. It's much more simplified and direct than TS3. The added coaching system gives a greater dimension of death, but overall I Think it'll be fairly easy to grasp.

I wonder if it will be possible to develop one part of your game, for instance a very strong forehand? Maybe that's what you get from choosing the right coach... :?:

I would think so... just as one coach gives you +10 power, another should be able to give you +10 forehand

Like i said about serve, you could maybe have a killer 98 forehand or something, but pay the price in another stat.

Yeah and that's exactly the best improvement the Developers could make. You see in the ITST Interview that they have tested the Gamebalance for all creatable Characters. You just have to think about what this new System means for the ITST and the whole Top Spin Scene. We will have Tournaments with the most unique Characters the Series ever saw. And ofcourse not only unique how you Character looks physical but rather when it comes to the Attributes and your playstyle.
