Career Mode

Postby VillaJ100 » Wed, 16 Feb 2011 16:35

Found this on a french website:-

As described already in our preview, Career mode once again asked to take charge of a young aspirant to the podium ATP, its first matches on fields near the center court of Roland Garros. Once created with conventional modeling tools (head, hair, equipment and even attitude), your player will follow month by month calendar of events to take part in practice matches and tournaments, if it is is sufficiently well placed for access. With Winning every game, the player may invest in packs stats, distributed differently depending on the orientation chosen: bonuses of service and speed if you choose a service profile / stolen, or power-ups and endurance for an avatar defensive.

Even once the packs exhausted, the stats will be weighted by the bonus / penalty associated with your coach. According to his profile, it will be possible to win 10 forehand or speed, the prerequisite of having accomplished specific goals throughout the tournament (10 rounds produce winners, for example). Note that it is possible to choose at the outset the level of difficulty for future careers, but also to decide whether the matches will be played in multiple sets or formats suitable for the prestige of the tournament (super tiebreak "for minor events, actual conditions for Major). But to take over the career mode more interesting than the average, it will wait until mid-March and the release of the game.

also this, from a german website:-

Played | February 16, 2011 - About three weeks ago, the first impression of playing Top Spin Cheats at 4 appeared. This impression was based on an early code which I only loose a game against the computer could play. The first impression I have to concentrate the tennis itself, which was able to make huge impression. Not for nothing did I concluded with a bold impression quote: "Top Spin 4 the best tennis game ever!" A quote I after playing the career mode in the new code even more playable I stand behind.

The Top Spin series has always had a good career mode where you throw a tennis player as a rookie is the number one position in the world rankings. In the fourth part is still the goal, but the road to it is even more exciting and above all become more extensive. You can see already right at the beginning. The possibilities for a character creation are nearly endless. To the smallest detail you can customize your tennis, a little creative can make a character that resembles him very well. Other choices include everything from the way you serve, save and if you throw in a nice moan. Then you can enjoy the virtual tennis court.

At the beginning of your career you blink and novice tennis player from nowhere. You different skills, consisting of fore-and backhand, service, volley, stamina and speed are all within a mere 30 "of up to 100 skill points. The first thing you do is go play a training game. Unlike a game like Virtua Tennis 4, you do not potty training in the weird mini-games to improve your skills. It is a matter of the opponent in a half set (so you should get three games) to beat. Failing that, you will be rewarded with experience points that you rise in levels and thus you can improve your skills. In addition, you also get even more points if you experience during the game where the opponent serves a specific purpose completes. Thinks to make a winner with a drop shot or not making a mistake during the rally.

The earned credits can be unlike Top Spin 4's predecessors is not a skill, such as forehand, stabbing. Instead, you choose one of several ways of playing styles. Think of the choice between a defensive baseline play an attacking or just a serve and volley player. Each of the three choices gives a different bonus. A serve and volley player will obviously be better in the volley, serve and run around the track, while a defensive player in the baseline width Slightly to get everywhere. It is possible to always choose a different style so you a real all-rounder, but I chose to baseline whenever attacking player to improve my points. After I did that three times, that way I got a choice to a bonus of five extra points to my backhand or my forehand, giving you that way you can specialize more.

It's an incredibly fun way of developing your character, so he grows into a global player. Obviously it was not possible to get all your stats to the maximum one hundred and you get gradually more important choices. There's more, the game uses a coaching system. Coaches can give you a bonus for your various skills, thinking of ten extra points for your service. But before you get that bonus, you must prove yourself against these coaches. Instance, you must make one hundred winners, 75 times a perfect service and save 25 times the net to make a point. It's a wonderful system that you always triggers for extra hard to do and continue playing again. It's just so cleverly as such the whole level and perk system, Call of Duty.

hard to believe there're only 2 animations to choose from, don't know exactly how but i guess we´ll have the chance of adding more animations by using credit points or so.

Something tells me we wont be able to use Pro Player animations in our custom characters....

....that said, since all the Pros will be balanced and in 70 overall, we may be able to use them in our tour.
