It seems in tennis there are always 2 GOA contenders in every era. When Sampras got the all time record who would have thought it would be broken by the end of the decade. Now Federers record is under threat, and if Nadal gets is maybe that won't stand long either.

Nalbandian on Nadal

David Nalbandian
Whatever he does, is pure energy. He's tremendous, just tremendous. The energy that he has to play a Grand Slam final is the same energy that he puts into playing Playstation, into eating a plate of pasta, into going for a walk, into talking about cars [formula 1] or football. He's tremendous. To me, he's a totally gifted person.

Rafa doesn't sleep. I swear to you that Rafa doesn't sleep. He's up till 2 am either on the Playstation or doing physio work. The other day, he was up at 9am, played 18 holes (golf), then come back and trained, then played soccer in the evening. He's tremendous. I could probably try to follow [his rhythm] for 1, maybe 2 days, then I will be tired in bed, but this guy keeps going, every day, the same.

People used to say 'with Rafa, it's doping, surely...' It was frequently debated. And people would ask me, and I'd say, 'you think that because you don't know him. You spend some time with the guy and you realize that he's like [the energizer bunny] 24 hours a day.'
Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.

hahaha you're right, btw David should talk to Fish or to Fish's wife to follow his diet, in tennis you need spirit of sacrifice and i guess David thinks to him self "i eat whatever i want, whenever i want, i'm a successful pro tennis player, i'm rich, i date models... so why on earth should i make sacrifices just to lose weight??

and btw i bet Nalbandian can not do this hahaha wow ouch wooooww hahahaha

Nalbandian also said the same thing about a Sloth.

Nalbandian was actually shocked to find out that 'frosting' isn't a food group.

Sarin without a doubt. He just seemed to have meltdowns he couldn't recover from or had injury problems he took a long time to recover from. Hewitt got the most out of his capabilities and was mentally rock solid but on game alone he was well below Safin

You talk about when Safin completely destroyed Sampras's game in that US Open Final? To me, he "shocked the world" that day... I will always remember that match! Marat was mastering his power, he wasn't "thinking too much"... Impressive match!!!
Edit : What does "GS blunder" mean?
