I just brought that up, but yours is a proper quote. Also deserves to be brought up all the time.

Time for wild predictions for next year I say.

Haha....Rafa has no weapons against Novak?? WTF does Novak even do better than Nadal, that's what I wanna know. Nadal's faster, smarter, in better shape, more consistent, more powerful, has retired like once in his life, etc etc etc..

Lil Wayne knows tennis better than some of the guys here :P

“I think this victory says that we should stop talking about Federer being the greatest player of all time,” said Mats Wilander, the former United States Open champion from Sweden. “I truly believe that. We can say that Roger is, but there’s no point in doing that until Nadal is done. It’s already unfair to me to say Roger is because Rafa is beating him all the time on every surface and in the Slam finals.”

“Right now he’s the best player in the world, and he absolutely deserves this title,” Djokovic said after Monday’s match.

“Rafa’s fortitude is just off the charts,” said Brad Gilbert, the veteran American coach. “He just doesn’t give up, whether or not it’s 40-love up or 40-love down. He just doesn’t take a point off.”

“It’s just great for somebody who had so much success as he did, very young age, and to be able to continue motivating himself to perform his best each tournament, each match he plays regardless of who he has across the net,” said Djokovic, who is now 7-15 against Nadal over all.

“Aside from the victory, what gives me a great deal of satisfaction is to see how much he has improved on fast courts,” said Toni Nadal. “It was a goal we had in mind never knowing for sure if we’d get there. But he’s returning better, serving a bit better and is closer to the baseline. The sliced backhand is much better. In the end, to see that is really satisfying.”

Who all people always have said Nadal's just a clay courter, just knows hit and run, he is not as well not than Federer even than Djokovic, Murray, Del Potro, Verdasco, Gulbis, Nalbandián, Monfils, Tsonga, Davydenko, Roddick... even Perico el de los palotes... To all of you I respond: words are just that, words. But the only real thing is this: he's now the best. There's nothing to prove.

1 Rafael Nadal 12,025
2 Novak Djokovic 7,145
3 Roger Federer 6,735
4 Andy Murray 5,035
5 Robin Soderling 4,910
6 Nikolay Davydenko 4,150
7 Tomas Berdych 3,780
8 Fernando Verdasco 3,330
9 Mikhail Youzhny 3,295
10 David Ferrer 3,200

And, maybe, with a little more time, he'll become in the greatest ever. He has got all he needs to become the best of all time, and even though many of you can't assume it, assume it.

Djokovic said: “Maybe emotionally I was a little bit drained after the semifinal match, but I recovered. I had two days, and I was motivated to win this match, and this is one of the matches where the opponent plays better than you, and you just have to congratulate him and tell him, ‘You're better.’ That's it. I don't think I played a bad match overall. It was very good performance from my side. But whenever it was important, he was the one who was playing just too good.”

“He has the capabilities already now to become the best player ever. I think he's playing the best tennis that I've ever seen him play on hard courts. He has improved his serve drastically. The speed, the accuracy, and of course his baseline is as good as ever.”

I give a damn about sport, competition, rivalries, but do not know why I have always loved tennis. And what I like about it's not that Nadal is the best, but what it represents and transmits as a person in his position. Work, effort, respect, humility and desire to excel. What he said after the match last night in public to Djokovic makes it very clear that Nadal is, that for which I admire him and what should inspire us all. Regardless of who is your favorite. That's just a subjective and timely.

I give a damm about result, but I'm glad and happy with that result

“All this talk of me being better than Roger is stupid because of his titles,” Nadal said.

“He has the game for each surface.” Djokovic said of his friend Nadal

where are all the incredolous guys now??, KNEEL DOWN TO YOUR LORD RAFAEL, slaves :D

Nadal played average, it was Djoko who let the match to Rafa and he will go to jail for that. Just like John Higgins, he was recorded and will be suspended from tennis. Unlike Higgins, they will not proove he was innocent.

So, an average Nadal beats a Djokovic who just came off one of the biggest wins of his career, full of confidence. On hard courts.

Good to know, for future bets.
