this is my favorite time of year for tennis....i see that roddick plays stakhovsky tonight....should be a good match...also wanted to bring up the point that roddick would have had to made it to the final in toronto to not lose ranking points...so maybe he withdrew? he will have no problem getting back up in the rankings because he lost 2nd round to querrey in cinci last year and 3rd round in us open to isner....im not doubting he has an illness, but i think his confidence was low and figured he could not make the final in toronto  who do you guys want to win this tournament? or do you not care now until us open?

I'm happy to see A-Rod playing tonight, hope his desease will not interfere in his performance and allow him to play a good prepartation tournament before USO, where he had no points to defend; a good perspective to reclaim the top 10! ^^

Honestly i'm waiting for the US Open, but it's good to see how's everyone.
I want Nadal to win, what a surprise eh?, but i'd like to see Roddcik winning there too, the favorite is Murray though
Isner, is a dangerous player, no doubt, but i don't see him beating the top players

Anyone watched Rafa (The chosen one) v Dent ?, just to know if he played good, i have the sensation that he's in better form than he was the last year during this same time of the year

Dent basically handed him the match. He had 21 unforced errors in the first set!

but dent did get in a 149mph ace!

De Bakker is a 'next year' sensation. He gets a lot of publicity in NL, but he needs some time.

he definitely needs to bulk up.....6'4 like 150lbs?....but, i really like his game

I would disagree about bulk-up. He has no real and reliable weapons. If he balks up and that makes him even a half step slower.....he is done. Not a power player.

He is young, the weight will gradually pile on with regular play.

I think paying more attention to his "loopy" forehand is a priority. It reminds me of Murray's FH of 2 years ago, trouble is, Murray is a bit quicker to compensate.

I like his BH thou, nice shot, good control. I think it can be a great shot in the future. :P

Check some of his BHs here:
