The highlight of his singles career is taking that great grass courter mats wilander to 5 sets (before being bageled) in wimbledon 2nd round one year.

One top drawer result:-

Guam, Guam; 03.12.1990; CH; Outdoor: Hard; Draw: 32

Q Glenn Michibata (CAN) rank 988 L 3-6, 6-7

Throw your personal favorites out the window...

Based solely on what you saw during the first week of Wimbledon, who do you think will win?

I'm rooting for Nadal, but can't see him winning based on his five-set struggles. The same goes for Federer.

If the weather stays dry/warm, it'll be hard to bet against Soderling/Roddick. Hell, who knows, maybe even Murray has a shot.

I'll pretend you didn't say that thing at the end.

Soderling and Roddick have the best chances.

Djokovic played awesome the first set and a half against Montanas, if he plays like that he should beat hewitt and play a great/close quarters against Roddick, and if Federer doesnt up his play i see it going to Djokovic/Roddick v. Soderling/Nadal

no comparison between Montanes and Hewitt, and even less so when the surface is grass.
Hewitt appears in top form on this surface and looks injury free and moving extremely well. I'd confidently pick him to do the job v Djokovic and to go further as well.

I'll pick anybody to win over Brokeassbitch. Hewitt will make him retire with 'breathing problems', mark my words...

Soderling looks like the man at the moment, he is playing consistently big. Nadal is vulnerable on grass against that sort of power and he will have to pick it up against the Swede. Novak has looked better but he is so up and down, if he finds his best he should have too much for Hewitt.

Djokovic has the better H2H between the two, and although Hewitt is not a top 10 player on tour he has played like one for a short stretch of time again. Winning the Halle title over Federer prior to Wimbledon and advancing back into the round of 16 attests to the Aussie's form and more importantly, his desire - something that Djokovic may be lacking at this point in his career.

Hewitt definetely has the desire over probably most of the tour. I'd still put him as one of the top 5-6 grass court players in the world, and expect him to beat djokovic in 4.

It will be close match i think, could go anyway. Definatly should be on centre, not on court 1

Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.

For sure, along with Clijsters v Henin and Murray v Querry. But I have a feeling Federer and Serena will get the nod.

First Monday of Wimbledon is one of the best days for tennis.

Confirmed, Clijsters and Hewitt get bumped by Fed and Serena.

Court 1 looking like the place to be.
