Good call.

Ferrer is a very good clay court player so he should push nadal. However so is ferrero and look what rafa did to him lol. Also ferrero is best clay court player this year with back to back tourneys 1 of em against ferrer in final then he lost in 3rd final in a row against ferrer.

ferrero is not strong enough mentally yet for playing with top 5 players, but he will be.

He will be? When? He's already 30 years old and well past his prime... (remember he was already #1 in the world at one point).

Or do you mean coming back from injury?

In my opinion Ferrero is done, i mean... he won´t get a big title again (Masters, Grand Slams),big credit for what he's done though.
That being said..one of my favorites of all time, i still remember when he beat Hewitt in the Davis final, great memories
Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.

yes , i know he is 30 years old, and he had his moment, was nº1 and won RG, i don´t mean he will win a master 1000 or a GS, i say that he can play better than he does with top ten players, i don´t say he can win nadal, federer or djokovic (it would be fantastic), only that the matches can be more close.

If the stupid USTA did not mess up the schedule, Ferrero would have won USO 2003, and Roddick would remain slam-less.
Then Ferrero=Hewitt, and Roddick=Sodering/Baghdatis/Puerta/etc.

What? Explain yourself! How did the USTA screw Ferrero?

I remember it rained a lot that year.
And they made Ferrero finish his semifinal the same day as his final.
SCANDALOUS!

Interesting, I saw the final, but had no idea Ferrero was playing his second match that day...
Scandalous indeed.

But I still would have put Roddick on top 2 days later.

Naah man, not even close as far as comparing goes. Roddick been played consistently good (granted, not good enough to win majors) for years, while we may not hear from Soldering or Bagdatis in a few. Soldering just now hit the top form, who knows how long he can keep it up. Baghdatis is.....yep.
Even if Roddick would not have won USO, I would still place him above Baghhdatis and Soldering as far as their carrier goes
Level 13 Edberg and counting...

Agreed. He's been consistently in the top 10 since he reached #1. Both those other guys reached *1* GS final. And neither has been able to win a 1000 title or better. Roddick has a handful of 1000 titles and GS final appearances.

OMG, would you guys chill? Patriotism much?
What I meant was, sadly, at the end of the day, only titles matter.
No one cares if you are 3-times Wimbledon runner-up, IMHO, if you have not won a slam, you are just not HOF-worthy.
OK, I admit maybe Puerta is overstretched. Without his slam, Roddick at least has had a Rios career.
If Roddick were not the only promising US player since Sampras-Agassi-Courier-Chang and got so overhyped, who would remember him 10 years down the road?
Heck, Korda retired just about 10 years ago.

PS:I don't care if Rios was doped or not,i liked him a lot! This devil little guy was a pure genius!Korda was awful to watch...

Well yeah, that was my point - only titles matter. Patriotism has nothing to do with it (OK, maybe a little because I identify with and share Roddick's attitude/sense of humor). The fact is, he's a much more consistent player year after year. I'm not sure he's going to be inducted to the hall of fame, but he HAS won a slam.
So placing him in the Baghdatis category is no good, and I won't stand for it! :P
