IMP there is a lot more to serving than just hitting aces, being able to hit 20 aces a match doesnt mean you are a good server

No it doesnt, being able to ace loads means you are being able to ace loads, not that you have an amazing serve. Against Jcfbpp i aced him 10 times in sim with 63 serve and i served horribly compared to ho i usually do.

Definitely, cause you could hit 10 aces and the rest are returnable. But you could say hit 3-5 aces in the match and also serve 30-40 unreturnable/unforced errors/easy put away shots so to speak. But hitting aces does have good correlation and is a decent indicator a lot of the time so it's sort of a paradox.

i dont hit many aces, but i like to think my serve is relatively difficult to read/return, cos otherwise playing SV i'd be blown away even worse than i am anyway :)

If the stats and timing is good enough you can score loads of aces out wide, its the guys who leave you flat footed on return, hit all the spots and serve the big points well, even with low stats who are the best servers. Plus big respect to SV players because they are so reliant on quality serving.

well i can´t serve and can´t return...
the only thing i have is that i´m just starting here...
I thought that i would be a good player since i can defeat the machine in very difficult but found out that there are lots of things that have to learn...

So if you can´t hit aces or don´t have a killer return just think in my lame game and be happy!!!

By the way played 1 set agains andymachine and lost 6-4, a great result for me ... in a couple of hundred of mathches i might defeat him... or not... LOL

Well i have lost a bit of timing of late , but il get that back , its coming a bit more together again :)

If i could just get a serve it would be a bit better lol, i serve too much mid court 90 percent of the time , i think it doesnt matter how hard you serve , u have to place it well , and vary it which i dont do enough lol

yeah, before i joined ITST i literally thought i was the best player out there. I only played as Federer in exhibitions and went on about a 150 match winning streak, the closest i came to losing was 2-6 4-6 and 2-6 down in the 3rd set tiebreak to a guy called Reremeyer, to win 2-6 4-6 7-6 6-4 6-4. another close one was to a guy called MaX_ who used to play at ITST, i beat his raikkonen character 6-1 6-7 4-6 7-6 7-6. But apart from that i thought i was untouchable! and of course i found out i really wasn't :) although i'm still really tough to beat as Fed! :D

All i'm trying to say is have confidence when you first join, the only way to get better is to play people better than you. I'm sure you'l learn the most efficent ways of serving and returning and become another great player on the tour.
