Need a new mobile phone

I was thinking iphone, however some people i've spoke to have said its not got great build quality, the camera is poor and the voice quality not good, and overall its just 'gimmicky' and not really that great, i use my phone as a digital camera too so i was wondering if i should get a 12 megapixel sony erricsson or samsung and get a new ipod for all the apps etc, or is the iphone really as good as they portray?

iphone's camera quality is not good, so if you use your phone as a camera often, then I'd say go for a 12 megapixel sony ericsson.

iphone's ideal for when you're bored, like on a bus, train, waiting in shopping centres

main use for iphone

i'd say iphone all the way but if you use it as a camera, i'd go for a sony ericsson..

as picachu said, phone+itouch is the perfect combination
