I saw it, and it looks very bad for the lad. Tommorows back pages will still be all about "that" handshake, I really cant believe all the fuss.

Yes Sky News had blow by blow replays, and "expert" panels lol. Just shows how big a deal football is over here. They should of just had a punch up and be done with it. Anyway 2 off for Chelsea and a 4-2 loss quite a shock.

I'm really hoping Villa can win the cup. It would mean more to them than ManU and O'Neal has done a great job. If your not a Chelsea fan it will have been a good week for you, with possibly more to come during if the stand in goalie is anything to go by.

I saw the match too...Everybody was under the shock on the field.
The agressor had a red card and left the field crying...I think he was aware of what he did and was under the shock as well...Some would have tried to say "no" to the red card-"i was playing the ball!"-...He was only under the shock and looked deeply sorry...
It took 1 year for Eduardo to come back...And he's not even at 100% yet...He still has fear in contacts...
Ramsey is 19,he's a young star (maybe),and maybe his career came to an end...Poor boy...
I hope he'll be able to come back!Like Djibril Cissé did! (quickly and on the top!)

It is very rare that these really horrendous injuries happen, like you say hopefully he is young enough to have the time to come back.

Found this in wikipedia under Ryan Shawcross:

"On 27 Februay 2010 in a game against Arsenal he was involved in a tackle which severely injured Aaron Ramsey and resulted in a sending off.[12] Shawcross wept when he saw the extent of Ramsey's injury,[13][14] who had to be stretchered off wearing an oxygen mask. Two hours after the incident he was named in the England senior squad for the first time in his career."

There are reason's for that.
1: He was gonna be named before hand. Capello deliberated with his 2nd in command and they decided because he was shocked and visibly shaken aat what he done, he should still be in the team.
2: That is his only ever red card.

Ive seen the foul and although it is certainly a red card it is not that bad. With a bit less bad luck Ramsey could have just gotten up and walk away from it.

Yeah, i think he just landed very awkwardly after the foul. Thats probably what broke his leg.

i saw the foul in replay . (real hard to find-youtube and other delete the video )
real a very hard watching foul ,but you see clarly hes fighting for the ball
it was very unlucky - mean you must not go that hard in a zweikampf(duell) in midfield !!
its clearly an accident .but a red card is definitivly okay for that . - his foot was hanging in 30 grad  .
but he deserved not a too long suspending (2-3MATCHES ARE OKAY ) -coz it was not planed to hurt him in that way,he was clearly fighting for the ball :

good luck to ramsey -its a real poor guy . hope he can come back to play profi football soon !!
