Man, was just surfing a bit and found his vids for ITST TV. So well done. Ok the video quality could be better but would have you as one of my favo Eurosport commentators any day.

SoundofSilence is under contract with ITST, Eurosport simply cannot aford such a quality commentator

I don't know what to say! Thanks for the nice words, glad you enjoy the vids as I enjoy making them. I'd love to commentate if you guys send me some videos.

I may invest in a better capture, but probaly not for awhile yet.

But uhm. Do you watch the matches before and imprvise. Or kindda act that you the it for the first time. Hope you understand what I mean.

The difficult bit is editing the videos, making it fit within 10 minutes, and having a steady while interesting passages of play where 'real time' commentating fits.

Because I edit the video, I do know what is coming so I have ideas of what to say. Once I click to start the narration though, that's it, I commentate right through improvising. A lot of the time, the video just fits really well with what I'm saying (by luck).

The dual commentating I did with Tombs was a video recorded by Vieira. This was pretty much 'real time' commentating (it was 100% real time for Tombs LOL).

The dutch commentator for Eurosport is such an idiot. Theo Bakker .
I can't change language like in Switzerland so I am forced to listen to him. I would love to have you anytime really.

At my parents place I can switch to the English commentator. Maybe it depends on the provider, or even on the tv...

Actually he talks down on players all the time.

He is like someone you would sit with in you in your living room. He is like: " How stupid he did this shot, he should do that or that or that. " Or like " OMG what didn't he wait to hit that shot. Now he did this and he loses the point . How stupid " Instead of just explaining how the player could have maybe given more spin or talk about the toss or about his footwork.

There is a constant negative vibe.

For me it just takes away all the fun in the match.

Unfortunately I don't speak Dutch nor have I ever heard of Bakker, but he can't be much worse than Jeff Tarango, who does commentary on Tennis Channel sometimes. The guy is the most whiny little bitch I've ever heard, he is CONSTANTLY accusing players of gamesmanship (like when they take too long to serve, bounce the ball too many times, move around before the point, basically he can construe anything as gamesmanship). Just a few weeks ago I heard him describe a VOLLEY as 'arrogant'. He literally said "That was an arrogant volley from (forgot which player)". No wonder he sucked as a player. All those conceited serves and smug forehands can drive a man crazy.
