I'm out

Postby alex13090 » Tue, 26 Jan 2010 23:58

As I predicted, i lost. What a fun match, restarted (i **** u not) 20 times at least, played with such lag that opening game i got broken to love. I filmed it but basically all i can show on tape is lag and the risk slices, short, medium, long, every other point, almost always on important ones. got annoyed, started doing some too though i have no practise with them and messed up half the time.

Honestly, today I got all the fun sucked out of me. I can take crappy players resorting to this gameplay, but I can't take an amazing player+risk slices+insane lag in a SIM TOURNAMENT.

Anyway, a video game shouldn't affect me this much, its not normal that i get this angry over virtual tennis, this and increasing workload have made me decide i'm joining calvkln in the retirement home, at least for now. (heard they have chicks and booze over there). I may finish whatever tournaments I'm in, but thats it.

good luck to all, enjoy the game, i'll see some of you for friendlies (you know who you are) on psn.

That was part of my point in the other post Alex , ive never met you but you are obviously one of the best players on here without a doubt :) , Lag is probably the worst thing to be honest because it basically prevents you from playing your game , and i hope you will be back because you are obviously the player to beat right now :)

In a way, I am happy. Let this serve as a rude awakening to those players that ruin the game for the rest of us. I beg you, don't resort to these tactics....yes it is counterable.....yes you are using this as a drop shot, whatever!......all it does is shrink our tour. It makes it smaller, and players that leave are good players, honest people that looking for nothing else but a good "realistic" tour. If "you" guys continue doing it, you will win matches...but soon, there will be no players to play against.

Majority of the tour doesn't like and doesn't resort to these tactics. If you take away all the the majority, you will have hard time filling a 16 player draw tournament.

Think about it guys.

Alex, I suggest to take a break. Don't call it retirement. No one REALLY retires from ITST. In worst case, you will be back with the next installment of TS game......in good case, you will be back next week!!!!

I am always at your service for friendly matches.

Personally, I'm friends w/ calvkln. We talk all the time outside of ITST and I'll tell you the same thing I told him. If you want to leave, leave. But leave because you no longer enjoy the game or are too busy.

But don't leave because of one player or a few players. In a very short period of time, you've built quite a name for yourself here on your. You're liked by most, respected by all. It would be a shame to quit just because you lost to some professional gamer who has perfected a glitch in the game.

For every one risk-slicing bandit, there are two or three clean players. You have a very bright future w/ a lot of titles and a lot of fun, fair matches in store. You'd be driven away from them because of one guy? Cmon. Not worth it man, you're better than that. Hope this helps and hope you stay.

I understand you alex, to play with lag is frustrating and basically to lose the time, it happens to my me with voldemort captainpetrufo or nitoflament, it is literally impossible to play, but I have accepted it as a part of the game online, and you cannot retire , as I have understood there can no be sim tour without you.

Agreed Maximo , we all have our share of opponents that have lag but i think its spread out, for example one player may have lag with someone but another wont have but that is without our control :( ,

On the subject of Calvkln i liked him very much but i know he didnt like the way i played and we had many discussions over it , and that is one of the things ive always been regretful of on this game cos i know how good a player he is

Don't get me started on Lag.

As inhumanly frustrating as it is, I'd like to think it is beyond on anyone's control, at least there was not a single case of induced Lag in TS3.

So we, me, have to try and let it go.....the sooner after the match, the better....otherwise things get ugly

I agree with brgerflipr, he is right, there much more clean players, with very different styles then the "slicing bandits"...

I think the best thing to do (and I am talking to myself now) is to avoid any discussions with them, about them.....act like they don't exist....let them enjoy their universe.

I prefer PS3 lag to Xbox. Xbox has less disconnects and visual lags/hiccups but has more of the Real lag, lag of response on buttons you press.....that drives me nuts...you know...you have to be a psychic sometimes to construct a point  ....it's not that bad, but worse then PS3. One good thing about XBOX - no disconnects what so ever....if it lags....it will lag the crap out of you - but will not disconnect.

wow, you guys are too way too kind. I expected much more "stop moaning, whatever" replies, seeing how my post was very angsty. You guys make it hard to leave..

Thats spot on buddy. i cant lose graciously this match. I mean had it been a quick 3 sets maybe, i'd have laughed about it. but 5 sets, 20 freeze's and 2 hours of playing, its hard to take.

Djarvik:
looking forward to some good matches. :)

Maximo:
Its not "lag" its "insane freeze every 10 min lag".

yea, the point is not that they slice or whatever. i didn't make this clear, the main point is how furious i got. its a video game, i shouldn't be punching a wall because i lost to some "slice bandit".

But yea i'll be back, gonna take a couple weeks off as some suggested, own some slice bandits on WT, you guys wont even realise im gone. will play my AO ms and ws matches out of respect for those i may have knocked out.. :) Cya

I seriousy wanted to quit I had 1 winner against 64 of his RISK ONLY winners -.-
