I got absolutely blown away against Nitoflament. I used Burns, but stood no chance against the 90 return of his Gray. I'm switching to another player now though, could well be Striker. Had a close match with Striker against andman using Cannon.

I got Kyuuji next match, he's going to be one tough opponent especially as he will be using Cannon.

I have decided to make a Bashmakov to play him. (Although I have never tried Bashmakov)

This way, if I lose, I won't feel bad knowing I went into a fair fight.

Sound - I agree, you gotta fight fire w/ fire. tho, if i may suggest, if you're not used to bashmakov, you probably won't be able to maximize his serve. Meaning you'll have a have an 81 serve vs. a 90 serve, which is pretty close. Both characters' powers are close as well. So if the serve & power are a wash, then cannon would get the edge because of the superior wings. Perhaps a cannon v. cannon? Then again, what do I know, I'm just thinking out loud. Hope this helps. :-)

brgerflipr's Nakamura def. Andymachine's Bashmakov 6-0, 6-0, 6-2.

I honestly think that Andy played w/ his eyes closed or his significant other was yapping in his ear again. We've played dozens of times and they've always gone the distance. It was a very off day for my friend but I know he'll bounce back.

sound, with cannon u can volley much better, and if you aren't a server, then don't play with basmy. ( Is only a suggestion)

Thanks for the ideas guys.

BTW, I don't want to look like I have problems with people who use Cannon or Bash.. That's not the case, my point is those 2 players certainly have a significant edge over the others. If they were boxers:

Heavyweights: Bashmakov, Cannon

Lightweights: Sixx, Johnson

Middleweights: Everyone else.

Yes, some Middleweights can play really well and beat a Heavyweight (the likes of Bishop, House, Gray etc).

Lightweights like Sixx and Johnson (and maybe Burns) will absolutely have no chance against a good Cannon or Bash.

Nice win brgfliper, poor Andy!!!

So I'm facing Djarvik in the second round  I'll use Bucci just because I know I cant beat DJ with Bishop because of the stamina, and even with the high stamina it would be tough to even get a set off him  But I think this is a good chance to improve anyways because I come into the match with absolutely nothing to lose.

played my match with prince, house vs house, and wow! He played really, really well, his defense is one of the best i've seen. every point was ridiculously long, usually ended with me missing a risk shot. somehow i pulled through

1st and 2nd set: We both had bp's, i think he even had more than me. I managed to steal a break at 6-5 in both.

3rd set: Risked more successfully and broke twice. Shame psn was being **** as usual and we lost connection twice, and played with lag most the time. Defo a player to watch out for though.

These Sim matches are really close. I knew prince had to be good to get those results against crotale..

Well done alex for pulling through. My match with kyuuji is postponed, due to PSN problems!

YESS YESS YESS
I won against fedfan 6-2 6-7 4-6 6-3 7-6!!!
I got the 1st set easy then i had at 6-5 so many **** set points dident convert one.
Then at tie break im leading 3-1 he gets dc from PSN.
We restart tiebreak and i get **** too many set points 1 on my serve and dident convert he takes advantage and wins 7-6
Then at 4-4 i made some unforced errors and lose the Set 6-4
I thought i was gonna lose i was soo frustrated on how many chances i missed :(
Then suddunly fedfan's momentum is lost and i win the set 6-3.
Then 5th set was very very close tie-break
He even broke me in that tie-break but i some how managed to break back and come to a 6-4 matchpoint
He smashed the ball everywhere and im just getting it back and finally i win out of a low slice of fedfan i shot it very low to other side and WINNNN :D

Wow just lost as Lorenz to Andmann666 as Cannon, he won 62 67 (13-15) 4-6 6-3 7-6 (7-5).

First set I served awful and went 2 break down.

Second I broke early but he got it back and had 3 set points on my serve at 6-5 but into the breaker we went and he led 3-1 when we disconnected, on resumption I went up 5-3 but it became an almighty dog fight that I sneaked out 15-13.

Early breaks for each of us in sets 3 and 4 decided it.

The final set was very tense indeed I was 2 point away at 6-5 30-30 on his serve but he survived and got an early break in the tiebreak that he wouldnt lose.

The final point was indicative of the whole match, very few quick and easy points, whilst I did not feel overpowered it was very difficult to keep the upper hand in the points as soon as I went for a slight angle or towards the forehand he pounded a winner.

I was screaming at the TV throughout and the loss really hurt, reminds me of my Roland Garros match last year which I lost in a 5th set breaker
