djarvik as Rogers Vs
SoundfSilence as Johnson
Rogers won 7-6(4), 6-3
This is one of the most enjoyable matches I've played, very mentally draining, but that's where the most fun was for me.
1st Set:
Johnson piled pressure on Rogers from the start, creating breakpoints. Rogers saved these, but they were close! Like in real tennis, when you get through a tough service game saving break points, you go on to create chances and Rogers did just that. He broke the next game!
At 5-3, Rogers served for the set and had a Setpoint. Johnson dug deep, saved the set point and broke back! The set went to a tie-break.
With a mini break up, Rogers was 3-1. Johnson clawed the mini break back, and was leading 4-3, full of confidence. Rogers held his own service points going 5-4, Johnson succombed to pressure losing both his service points and the set 7-4.
2nd Set
What pi**ed me off here, it was my turn to serve first in the set, but TS3 has a glitch sometimes after tie-breaks that it gets the next server wrong... I really wanted / needed to serve first to get ahead, but that was not to be.
One bad service game for Johnson, while stamina was flashing, Rogers took advantage and broke.
At 5-3, Rogers serving for the match. Johnson was in the same situation in the 1st set, so he had belief he can break. The first point here was crucial, Johnson with the upper hand, forcing Rogers left and right. He was in prime position at the net. Hit 3 volleys (no risk, as there was no need, he was in full control.. and didn't want to hand Rogers and easy error). Rogers manages to pass, at full stretch.
This point was the closest I've ever got in throwing my controller.
Nevertheless, Johnson got two breakpoints!!!! BUT, this tiime, couldn't convert.
The stats says it all. Rogers played the bigger points better (although he had the flu). To be fair, it wouldn't be nice of me to beat djarvik while he's ill...
This match was what SIM games are about!!!
