Its just a case if the risks work youd prob have won Tonedawg , esp with two tie break sets , when i used to play that all out hitting game it was either hit or miss also, ive lost many matches and won them also , but its worse when its on tour lol trust me :)

I never really felt I would break serve. The only way would have been to double trigger every return, and thats just lame.
In truth it was quite a boring match, serve=>winner for both of us. Don't remember if either of us had a break point . I kept rallies short, used dropshots etc, as I'd get overpowered quickly otherwise.

The TB's were pretty straightforward; I risked a couple returns that went in, and tone had trouble with my serve today (quite a few aces)

Sounds like a close one. Out of interest, what was the matchup like, which players did you both use?.. I'm guessing tone doggy dog used Cannon. Did you counter him with Thompson alex? or with brute force?

Lost to Fedfan 7-6 6-4!! He was Cannon and I was Bashmakov, we both held serve until the very last game where he won it. Couldn't dominate on serve for some reason, his return always came back hard and deep and I actually had to work for points on my serve. Hopefully I can get some good results in the womens but I face BurgerFlipr in my first match!! :nono

Yes, when I knew you were Bahmakov I went for Cannon rather than Lorenz so that I could get more cheap points off the serve and find winners quicker.

TD and Alex, who did you both use?

Congrats Fedfan :? Can't blame you for being "match-up smart"

Guys, please post which player you and your opponent used. Especially the ones that post on forum. We have many who don't post, so we will never find out what player they used.

Tone used bashma and i used house. Tbh i'm against this idea that speed is a counter to power, id say it the other way.
The match was simple, i had to risk alot early or id lose. So i did just that, a few drop shots, and precise serving. i dont reccomend house against bashma at all, unless u serve very well.

need a suggestion.
today I have to play my itst sim match against marlonbrando91.he use cannon.
I don't know which player to use.I have always played with bucci but I'm afraid to be destroyed by cannon's pw.
I could play with lopez or house too,but I have used few times them.
:?? :?? :??
the only thing I'm sure it's i don't want to use cannon.
question:
use a player I feel confident knowing it will be very hard or risk new player :?:

my match is at 10pm...

I'd never risk trying a new player in an itst match, but maybe you adapt easier. When I came back from holiday i tried bucci, rogers, new house all for the 1st time and lost every game.

I'm afraid there is no true set up that counter a power sim, though im guessing the good returners are the most efficient. If u go wth bucci, pimp with ur good wing and risk when u get chances to. Good luck :)

Petrelli, I know you can play well with Bucci, I would use him. It will be competitive, play your game and you will create the chance. As alex said, you have to risk at the right moment (which I know you do well).

Good luck :tu

Serve is key because he is going to be tough to break, regardless of the return stat. Pick whoever you are most comfortable serving with imo.
