If Bashmakov is going to have a high power/serve his returns should be much lower.

Maybe PS3 players who have gone for these two set-ups should explain why, i.e. is it because they don't think they can win if they don't.

Like I said I use Lorenz unless my opponent says they are using one of these, in which case if they are going to be throwing 1-2 punches all day I figure I may aswell too, otherwise it's tough to compete and have an interesting match.

by the way i think players should have the option of REDUCING height if they so wish from the maximum specified. i mean if anything the person choosing to will likely have a disadvantage , complete opposite to the 6?9 scenario. only reason is i've created a player that 6?1 and all attributes are interchangeable saved onto the hd .

Yeah, it's pity to read that Bashmakov is such a force on the PS3 .

He is rather crappy on the XBOX. Canon i played the other day and was actually suprised that he very easy to play with because of his ultra good wing and big power. But I did get killed against big returners.
So it's all about match ups.

I understand some people stick to their players so it means that they will meet people who use players they don't match up well against.

On the XBOX the player I find very strong is Bishop because of his strong wings of both sides. He does lack a little power. But his high stats on both wings. Keeps the ball deep and well placed. So hard to take over the rally or keep the rally going and not being taken over.
So Bishop is hard cause you can't exploit his weaker wing much. So if you don't return his serve well you have pretty much a problem :-)

For tactics against players like Bashmakov and Canon. Bash use a lot of angles. Use different shots. Come to the net. Use dropshots. etc etc. On the XBOX it works. ( Clearly not on the PS3)

Against all other players then Bishop I basicly try to serve return and play mostly all shots to the weaker wing.

it´s true bashmakov is too much, is slow, but no very slow, u can move well with him, is good returner and has good fh and bh, i think that he would have more stamina or more volley and less service, maybe 75 service. (i use bashmakov)

To be honest, I think Rogers might be a little bit too fast.
I just played SamL with him, his Lopez just could not hit through me and certainly was not gonna hit around me.
I have not tested him thoroughly, but I think the only way to beat him is to punish his serve and get the first strike.
So he's not unrealistic in that sense, if you can beat him with great execution.

Bashmakov is Pyotr Stochakov from the game. Anyone tried the exact setup of Pyotr Stochakov and see if there is any difference?

The thing is that he is not that good on the XBOX so I have no clue how it feels on the PS3.

I have never played xbox360 but I read many times that is different from ps3.
in ps3 power is too important and high pw is not well balanced by low speed or low fh/bh.powered player run and hit ball without problem...

so I agree with alex that say that we should have a list of players with max 80 pw.

or I have also an idea how to adjust bashmakov:fh57bh56sv90re79vl68pw90sp51st69
and I'd delete cannon..my enemy

Although I have never played with bashmakov i think making both wings weak (50's) will be fair in light of the 90 x2 (power and serve)

But NO deleting Cannon or changing him any further please. I have only played 2 people who used Cannon on xbox360 and after that they used different players so there is a lot of used variety out there, Lorenz, bishop, gray, house etc etc
They call me Baggy...

but on ps3 the majority of players use cannon...we could have some different players between ps3 and xbox due to their differences...
cannon maybe on xbox is not so much dominant like on ps3...

Initially I thought Bishop (the old one) was going to be too strong... But on the PS3, he really wasn't. He was fantastic on return games, but really poor on his own serve (obviously against good returners).

Cannon (old one) was very strong for some PS3 players. I personally didn't think he (or Bashmakov) were way better than everyone else.... Some players were extremely talented with them, yes.

However, with Lopez and Bishop being 'down toned', it'll only make it harder to counter the big power guys (Cannon and Bashmakov).

I see why ITST decreased Cannon's stamina, but it was decreased by so little, I don't think it'll make any difference to his performance...

Cannon, bashmakov I feel is still to strong, I played bashmakov in an Aussie open. I think the player was ozerman a newby to the curcuit never the less a great player, I played with a norm player and he was pretty suped up the power was enough to keep up with my player. He's angles aren't great but with so much power angles are irrelevant if in doubt power to the body I feel 1 hand should be reduced to 50+ and return also reduced all points add to stamina. Cannon, I feel can compete with 90 /40 as having 85 + on both power and a specialist hand makes it a bit unfair, and serve as well, that's too strong for sim. I feel he's best side should be below 75 but keep power, that will still make him a power hitter as he is 1 of only 2 players with power over 80 sorry baggy. House was to strong but I feel the changed helped with him.
