I just think your reactions to returning serve would be too sluggish and easily get caught out in the rallies by some short-angled cc topspin shots. Then again, maybe with 40 speed you could invest more in stamina and turn into an all out risker which could pay off

Not if you put 90 on return...ask GOA how my return were yesterday:) But although I do notice that my guy runs slower and his reaction is also a bit slower, but still he can get to most of the balls, even the short angled ones. Maybe I'm just imagining things, but I feel like this setup is really good for me.

I think you hit a lot of aces to whatever stat someone has LOL.

But yeah, good serves do cause problems sometimes. Epox on WT has those annoying wide serves and he aces me a lot with them. But the more I get used to his serve, the more I am able to return well enough to start a rally.

But to be honest...i'd rather be aced, than hit a weak return and lose the rally after a few groundstrokes....aces have no influence on my stamina...:)

No,

my guy had 85FH, 85 BH, 90 PWR, 90 Serve, 90 Return...the other stats are 40.

I have tried all kinds of setups. Mostly with low FH and BH, but high serve and speed, cause i felt helpless without those two stats. But after trying 40 speed i saw how wrong i was. I still have high serve, but instead of investing points in speed i decided to put those extra points into my FH and BH (40 extra points, cause normally i'd use 80 on speed). And it worked out...at least for me:)

That's where I disagree with you BalkanPower. If you can get in a "Few" shot rally after your return, then you can also take risks on one of these "Few" shots.

I find that if you can get a lot of returns in, and mix the depth/angle you have more chances to be in your opponent's serve.

I am also trying a high return stat. It does work, but, if I run into someone like Joesixtoe, Anteros, Norberto...etc......It doesn't help. All these guys have something most of us don't: They have that first shot after your return down to perfection. Swifty in my mind is the best at that. Even if you LT deep they are able to get to that ball and pound it almost every time, making a high return skill almost but useless against them, forcing you to apply risk to your returns almost on every serve.

I agree with you there. But when you know your return will lead to a rally with a few groundstrokes...and with groundstrokes i mean running from one corner to another to chase down the ball...then I'd rather be aced than lose stamina over something that was hopeless to begin with:)

That's what I was talking about to Rob:) Not that I let people ace me to preserve stamina on purpose.

In the beginning of the match I don't risk return at all, cause I wanna get used to the serve first and see if I can manage to break without taking risks. If that proves to be impossible, then I start using more risk when returning.

your returns work excellent yesterday. esspecially about hard stick serves,
you impeded my 1 shoot power offense.and 90 % returns come in,in a strong way. i must risk alot crosscourt
i was impressed how fast your player run.
he works really good.
also against your hard groundstrokes it was very hard for me to bring you to run from side to side.hard fight for every point
i m a power player, maybe possible you got problems with 40 speed about defense player where play permanently cross slices or short double trigger slices.and only wait for a open corner to hit a A winner.
maybe that bring problems for your player

at all your player with 90 serve 90 return 90 power 85 fh-bh 40speed is really great .
next time i try another tactic.
thanks for the match ,mate

This is one of the few threads Q doesn't seem to pop up on, otherwise we would be way past the 1000 mark.
