New T.V.

So I got a new HDTV and once I started playing, my timing was so off. It felt so weird, I always try to hit groundstrokes early but when I do (or so I thought), they are late and flying everywhere.

I could beat Roddick on very hard 62 60. Now i'm losing 67 67.

I'm putting in some practice for now.

Has this happened to anyone? Bought a new television and your timing went out the window.

This definitely happened to me when I got a new HDTV.

I don't want to scare you, but my timing never returned; it's a big part of why I stopped playing TS3 altogether. I started losing badly to people in exo's that I had never lost to and my risk timing was thrown completely off....I used to be able to hit risk after risk after risk after risk but even now I still haven't regained the timing that I had with my old TV. I just thought nobody would believe me so I never even bothered to bring up my new TV.

Timing is definately different according to the TV screen you play on. I happen to play matches at different places. When i play on some friend's TV, i need a couple of serve games to reconsider my timing.
Try maybe to release buttons a tiny bit earlier or later, you might find the solution soon.

BTW - to OP question,

there is something called HDTV Lag. Google it. It really should not be a problem at all in newer TVs......what production year is your current TV?

It could also be the opposite, your TV now has no Lag, but Lag was there with your old TV.....you got used to that little Lag and now it feels weird.
