EXTREME SPORTS

Postby emate007 » Tue, 27 Jul 2010 18:07

The F1 topic got me thinking about sports that aren't really sports, and I think there would be a huge market for EXTREME versions of certain non-sports.

For example- I know there's a version of golf where you have to sprint to your shot each time because both # of strokes and overall time is taken into consideration. That is awesome. I would definitely watch that, especially if there were two people playing/racing the same hole together.

Applied to bowling- I suggest making the bowlers race down the lanes to clean up the pins they missed each throw, then race back to throw again.

Poker- No great ideas... Just don't call it a sport.

What other non-sports can be improved with some physical activity?

Bocce! I play it all the time at family get-togethers.

I think any version of Bocce that lets you throw the ball at your opponents is a step in the right direction

Erm, it seems I've created a Bocce topic by accident. I guess only a few people read the original post?

This is a great idea - give each team 2 extra balls to throw at the opponent while they're playing.

I disagree, I would call them games. To me, a sport means a certain level of physical activity must be present. A super fat, out of shape guy should not be the champion of any 'sport.'

wow
Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.
