yes, awesome, that's why you see those huge pickups everywhere in the US
in Spain : 1.20 euros per liter (average) cause there are 95 gasoline and 98 gasoline, and also differs between cities.

So you guys are saying 2,75-3 dollars per gallon and 1 gallon = 3.785 liters......, so we're talking about 4.542 euros/liter in Spain, and in dollars:
$6.0332 a gallon hahaha, that's why here you see many more diesel cars than gasoline cars (my Audi is diesel and the SMART is gasoline)

There would literally be massive-scale riots if they raised the price to 6.00 here.

Three dollars still feels absolutely ridiculous to me; the price was consistently 1.80-2.00 when I was in high school and the first few years after high school.

Just worked it out, for an imperial gallon gas is $8.06 for standard and $8.58 for premium, in US gallon it is $6.78 for standard and $7.20 for premium!

In Netherlands we're at €1,56 per liter, so per US Gallon that would be $7.86...

Add to that the insurance costs and the road tax and I'll just stick to my bicycle and public transport...

Apart from that I occasionally drive in my mother's Honda Jazz or my father's Honda CR-V

Well since we're getting into parent's cars, this is what my dad drives, a 1994 Mercedes E420. It's brutally fast for a luxury car.

Speaking of fast, what is the fastest car that you guys have ever driven????? My best friend (same guy who's crappy Honda I used to 'steal') owned a 2002 Pontiac WS6 Trans Am that he let me drive quite a few times...ImageTHAT THING WAS A FRICKIN' BEAST, it was actually frightening how powerful it was. That was definitely the fastest car I've ever driven although my dad's Mercedes sedan is honestly not that much slower.

I drove a F430 on a track day for my 19th birthday. Fastest car i've driven by someone i know is my friends VW Golf R32. My other mate won't let anyone touch his GT-R.

F430, that's a pretty damn fast car. Smaller engine than the Trans Am I drove but probably quicker and faster.

I hate people who won't let their friends drive their car! Like it's a spaceship or some $h*t

Yeah....can you imagine paying 7 or 8 dollars a gallon like the guys here in Europe? I personally wouldn't drive, that's totally batsh*t insane..

No offense to anybody but that seriously kinda blows, I mean, how do you go on road trips with friends??? Taking trains/buses everywhere kinda sucks.

None offence taken jaylove, here in cyprus the distances are very smaller compared to europe mainland and u.s.a for example. The furthest trip i ever had in cyprus was like 4 hours and you can't really exceed that, unless you go around the country

The petrol here in europe definitely is almost like gold. I went to greece a month ago and the price was 1.80euro per litre(because of the problems they have with their economy causing the euro currency to be almost like the american dollar)!! We rented a car (nissan micra 1.0 litre) for 12 days and we spent 200 euros only on petrol!

Their cars consume far less gas. You will have to calculate the total amount that it would cost for a road-trip. As in mileage and gas. I bet the costs of both trips will be very close.

Difference? ...we have a place to put our XXXL Coke or a 40, they have to stop every 2 minutes to breath.

well distances between cities are not like yours guys, and those road trips you're talking about are not very common here (at least in Spain)...... i see them as an american thing, no offense eh, i believe they're great, probably quite funny and also good for new experiences.

Yeah I guess I kinda forget that the US is pretty big.

Nothing compared to Russia, though.

In Soviet Russia, road trip take...who am I kidding, there are no roads in Soviet Russia
