Magneto was more an Xmen enemy (old Dr Charles Xavier's buddy!...now his nemesis!)...But Magny clashed with everybody so...But one of the most powerful vilains!!!His ability to control magnetism and metals (even very very little parts in the air!) is lethal (correct word?)!
By memory,i give you some of "historical" Spidey enemies :
Green Goblin (he killed the first Spidey love affair!)One of the few to know Spidey true identity (with with doc ock',Kraven,Venom,...)
Doc Octopus (called "Doc Ock' " by Spidey,here's one of the best Spidey's enemy)
Scorpio (created by J.J. Jameson,he wanted to show how Spidey was dangerous...)
Mephisto (kind of Master of illusions)
Cameleo (the 1st official Spidey enemy!)
Electro
Kingpin (most a Daredevil's enemy!)
Lizard
And you have of course the Sinister Six! (Doc Ock,Vulture,Electro,Sandman;Mysterio and Kraven the hunter)
Voila!

I rented Watchmen last week, was very pleasantly surprised. The movie was a lot 'smarter' than I thought it would be. Little strange that there was a huge guy walking around naked the whole movie, except when he wanted to vaporize people... Then he put on a thong.
