i got to say Switzerland play to the "counter-attack".. great defense.. but I will blame a little to Spain.. all the balls (the centers) were to low.. 1-0 the curse of the favorite  ??

Btw @ Yippie

I agree with u on Brazil.. we have to remember this is the Team of Dunga where he bets for the defense and is not the Brazil we are used to..

tennis is different..... football is..... football, in football you can play the best match of your life ( that didn´t happened today btw) and still lose, that in tennis is hard to see

Anyone noticed it was an offside goal of Switzerland? The keeper was gone and the falling player touched the ball. Okay, it was mid air and unintentional but that doesnt matter. It was offside.

I didn't notice! wow!That's really a f$$$$$g disgrace! :P

Well, down and out and maybe even without goals...

There is a slight chance when they beat South Africa by 3 or 4 goals and Mexico-Uruguay ends up in a team winning. But well, can't see France scoring 3 goals...

vamos MEXICO!!!

Good to see the Mexicans taking down France.

Mexico is such a big soccer nation, surprised that they haven't done better in World Cup play. Almost all of the reallygood youth-league players here in Southern CA are kids from Mexico

WHATS HAPPENS HERE ???
WAY TO LESS DISCUSS ABOUT THE WC MATCHES !
thats sad ...
however.....
MEXICO surprised me yesterday .
to beat france 2-0 is a big success.
france have intern problems in the team. it looks like the team is no team.
also a big problem is team versus coach!
the biggest surprise till now is the win from switzerland against spain
that was a sensation.
ottmar hitzfeld is one of the best coaches ever.
he is awesome
i know him very good from his time by bayern münchen
but i think spain is too good to drive home after group phase - they will win next 2 matches ! HOPEFULLY!

ARGENTINA played well yesterday -much better than in their first match .
in this form they are back in the circle of favorites to win WC.
I was totally dissapointed from BRAZIL !
they must play much better in future matches to have a chance to win the WC
now germany is playing his second match.
hope they play same good as against australia-but serbia is much better than australia !
i vote 2-1 for germany

BTW:someone else feels the quality from the matches are very low ??
only a few matches was high skilled -but most of the matches was very low skilled and often boring

Sad to see Nigeria lose in the manner they did agianst Greece...

If the Greece player did not fall down dramatically in 'agony', would the Nigeria player be sent off? He hardly touched him!

Anyway, he went to kick with intent so it was worth a red card.. I hate seeing all the acting that goes on to get someone sent off, it's no sportsmanship. Greece player should have been sent off too in my view.

Statistic after everyone played 1 match:

Goals per match have never ever been so low. Just 1.56 goal per match. Previous record was 2.14.

Only two matches had more than 2 goals: Brazil - Korea DRP 2-1 and Germany - Australia 4-0
