It's shameful the unsportsmanlike Ferrari F1 attitude.

Talk about anything unrelated to tennis or the ITST.

Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.

I'm not even going to get into the whole debate over whether racing in any form is a sport or not, 'cause it really makes no difference to me one way or another. That being said, it irks me whenever I hear someone dismiss racing as "guys driving in circles" and claim that they are fully capable of being race car drivers because they commute to and from work on the highway every day. Drivers at the top levels of racing get paid lots of money to win, so if it was that easy, why isn't everyone doing it?

I follow NASCAR and I like the analogy that someone on the ESPN boards used to explain things to someone that tried that whole "I do the same thing in my car every day" argument:
if $500,000 went to the first driver getting to the 12th exit off the highway, while on your way to work, what do you think your drive to work would be like?

As for F1, I casually followed it when I was younger but I don't watch it anymore. I think those guys are among the best drivers in the world, and the cars are technologically superior to pretty much everything else, but it just seems too political with all the team orders and stuff. My favorite forms of racing at the moment are NASCAR and Supercross. I watch Indycar races every now and then too.

imo massa is a bitch, he shouldn't have listened to what the team leader ask for, if alonso had the better car he could have won anyway the race. they were afraid perhaps of what happened to red bull a couple of races ago where vettel and webber lost that race fighting for the lead.

WTF? I never claimed I was qualified to be a NASCAR driver. I don't want to be a NASCAR driver. Regardless of the qualifications, I think driving in 'ovals' is lame and uninteresting.
If you like it, great. A lot of people think it's awesome. But don't jump down my throat because I think it sucks.

Anybody here ever been to a monster truck rally??

So much fun; so much great 'people-watching'.

It's a real man's 'sport'

Whoa. Calm down, man...I wasn't trying to jump down your throat at all.

I know you didn't claim you were qualified to be a NASCAR driver - that part of my post wasn't in reference to you. That's just one of the things I generally hear from people who blindly diss auto racing, and my post was made in reference to those people. Don't take it as a personal attack.

That's a good point. It's probably incredibly fun to actually take part in...I mean, racing your friends in go karts that go 30 mph tops is fun.

Have you seen some F1 races lately?Have you seen that last race?I'm seriously wondering man...If that was the case you would know that you can't overtake anymore in F1...And ESPECIALLY on this track!!!It's a very specific track where the modern F1 cars cannot overtake anymore...
Alonso was a bit quicker than Massa, but know that he couldn't overtake Massa...The team boss then told "Felipe,i don't give a shit what you may think/feel just let Fernando overtake you goddammit'!!!If you don't you can say goodbye to top F1 teams!!!"...Massa is not stupid, and is not a bitch (well that was a real nice fanboy comment/answer) he simply did what his boss told him to do...What do you think? That's the way it goes in sports now...It's a huge business (ask moralspain...Haha! Xavi, you know i like you, just to fool around.. ;) )
Fernando is a top pilot, his career did not need this kind of behaviour,it will follows him a lot!...As for Massa, seeing what he did for the Scuderia,it's really a f****ng disgrace! And very shocking...Again,this does not help Sport Spirit...
Sorry but i found your comment does not help a lot,and mostly shows you're a total noob/fanboy about F1...

My bad, it seemed like you were lumping me in with the people who think they're a better driver than Gordon. I know racing is incredibly difficult and taxing physically.
But... they're still driving in circles. :P

i have seen most of the races this year, it is true there aren't so much overtakes but there are, alonso could have done because he had better tires and there is one clear oportunity in that circuit to overtake, the team just didn't want to risk the points. and lets face it they have to bet to the one racer that has a real chance to win the championship.

Great!I agree with you there! For the most part but...why the "Massa is a bitch" then?...It seems that you know F1 so you must know that the guy is far from beeing a bitch (well i don't know him privatly but i kinda assume that)...No? (the way he swallowed the loss of the world title was mostly classy...Just saying "No probs, let's get back to work..." )
It's true that on Hockenheim you can very hardly (very truth is : it's impossible!) overtake if your opponent is great at defending positions...And Massa can be very good at it...In that case the guy has the right to think "i wanted to defend my 1st position..." and beeing disappointed...
That said i'm glad we agree on the "clever" decision made by the team... (Business, both championships,...)

About the necessary points to win, the championship is open yet... including for Massa.

What happened was a disgrace. Ferrari proved not deserve the respect of all the fans of Formula 1, because again this team act shaming this category of sport.

And everyone knows that Mr. Fernando Alonso is a 'pilot' liar, sly and boor, who has not capacity enough to work for a fair win or a honorable defeat. If he can pisser in someone's head to achieve their goals, he will do it. Money is the power.

Whoever loses is just us, lovers of the sport.

Absolutly true...It gives a great championship but races are......zzzzzzz...

There i found you should cool down about Ferrari...They all do this!
Red Bull does the same : Vettel has the newest technology...Webber has the last year technology (since he destroyed his car...)
McLaren has done the same...Ask David Coulthard! (In 98 he did let Hakkinen overtake him TWICE in a race!)
You have a lot of exemples...It's not only Ferrari man...

Here again,i can't agree with you...Alonso is a great champ!A true top pilot!Fuoriclasse!!^^ The way he raced when he was at Minardi, the way he won his 1st two titles for Renault, beating old and new champ,it was fair, straight, and sometimes highly classy!Don't blame the guy for reasons he's not responsible of...It's the team deciding...

There i do agree with you...But you should reconsider your positions about ferrari and alonso...

But in all,we both know Senna is the man,no? ;)
