Premium PSN?

Talk about anything unrelated to tennis or the ITST.

Well PSN definitely seems worse of late! I wonder if it has anything to do with the individual games.

Truth is TS3 is not that popular. No tennis game is relatively speaking.

I have to step in :-)

Since TS3, playing on Xboxlive is amazing. There is "lag" but the lag is so freaking minor. Just sometimes there is a match that is really extremely
laggy but actually still very playable . But overall even with people from Japan and South-America it's really good.

Microsoft made a mess of many things. But Xboxlive rocks.

You're willing to pay £120 per year to play some games? Especially since we have it free...

Well, if they can guarantee no lag / disconnect, then that expensive price of £10 per month 'maybe' justified. It may be the next era of gamers who may experience 'lag' free gaming.. How long until then, who knows.

Its not just certain games , its also things like downloads or updates , my friend across the street from me has xbox live and he loves to show just how quick it is to download things like game paid for online or even things like demos , but i prefer using Ps3 , maybe 10 pounds a month is a bit excessive lol but maybe something like 30 or 40 quid a year wouldnt be so bad

i agree with you.
MS XLIVE WORKS GOOD
the good thing is when the lag is too much the connection got breaked and kicked the lagmaker out from the game.
thats good in games like 3person shooter

This is the model Microsoft uses with Xbox Live. I don't know how good that network is but I am sure its better than PSN!

I've always thought the price we pay for Xbox Live is pretty reasonable considering it's advantages over PSN...PSN sounds like a nightmare

Picked up from DigitalSpy

Sony will reportedly unveil a long-rumoured premium version of the PlayStation Network next month at the E3 Expo in Los Angeles.

According to VG247, a "highly placed" source has indicated that the subscription service will cost "less than £50 per year".

The insider claimed that subscribers will be able to choose one free PSN game every month from a list of "two to four" available titles.

Last December, a leaked market research survey indicated that the premium PSN could include online music services and cloud game storage.

However, the industry source suggested that a rumour about cross-game chat being included in the subscription was "100%" wrong.

They said that the premium package would not impact on any of the free-to-access services currently available on the PSN, which echoes comments made last year by Sony Computer Entertainment boss Kaz Hirai.

At Sony's E3 press conference on June 15, the firm is also expected to unveil a Spotify-style music streaming service enabling users to play songs while gaming on the PSN.
