I haven't really been into baseball for quite a while, but when I was, Griffey Jr was one of my favorite players by far. I know he's thought of by a lot of people as a hit-or-miss homerun hitter, but he was always one of my favorites and always one of the most stylish players ever, and as a young outfielder (I played strictly outfield, always) he made playing outfield seem really cool when everybody else my age thought it was incredibly lame
Anyways I just thought this was a little sad, it's always sad to see great players go out with a whimper like this
